So the game is good? Great news. I got pre-orders to pay off but when I can, I'm picking this up.

 

The game has been rated 7-8 by gaming websites.
It's good, and a couple of people said it's well worth the money.

 

I ended up preordering it digitally last night on the Switch. Got the Expansion too so I'll be good once the DLC is released.

 

Well I was enjoying it but I’ve battled Dormammu five times and still can’t beat him on the lowest difficulty setting. So I’m pretty much done with the game and wasted sixty dollars.

I’d give it a 5/10

If you can't pass the boss I suggest you try looking up a guide or a walkthrough. Or maybe the boss really is super difficult... if I have the same problem. Welp the game is doomed.

 

Or maybe you can go level up a bit?

 

Maybe try upgrading the characters stats too with ISO-8 and stuff.

 

Actually, I haven't made it to Dormammu yet. I started the game with my 9 year old daughter yesterday and we got slaughtered by Sandman. Of course, I played the game on my own today and got as far as Avengers Tower until I quit playing for the day.

Really enjoying the game though. Deadpool in the chef outfit makes the DLC worth every penny

Huh. So there is a leveling up in the game. My guess is that like other games that have leveling up thing, lots of level grinding. No problems here.

 

Question: is the game long? Unlike the first 2, this game is set up with chapters.

Disappointing when comparing it to the original 2.
In the first one alternative costumes referenced a part of a hero's career, and didn't just change their appearance, but their entire play style.
In the second game the costumes were more interesting, but there was less.
This game has shitty color swaps.

 

The alternate costumes are pretty bad for most of the characters, yes. For some they reference actual alternate costumes, for most they’re just like ‘ehhh, fuck it’.

But it has been announced costume updates will be released between now up until Q1 of 2020, and I don’t think they’ll be part of the paid dlc (just a quick skim through articles atm). Here’s hoping!
