Deja Vu is caused by someone interesecting with themselves in another time.

If you went to the bathroom at, say, 3:00 in one time, you walked right by yourself at another time at 3:01.

Just go watch the movie Lunopolis and you'll see....

Nah, not what I am talking about. It’s something that I literally can't say without violating the rules.

Yeah... sounds like the stuff I heard is probably real. If so, mods are going to want some alcohol for this thread.

Truth be told, I’d still consider this better then Genisys.

The only thing that I want is a trilogy that covers the actual war. John Connor should be kept a bit distant, as an almost messianic figure that teaches Humanity how to rise up and fight. If you really want to explore him, make him the deuterologist.

Perhaps make the main character female, and make her John's eventual wife, but not in the crappy T3 way. Just make her one of John and Reese's friends from early on, and maybe even have her like Reese, and seeing John as more of a brother. More importantly, any romance should be underplayed until the final film. The first one should be all about the conflict, and they are kind of like the three musketeers, all together. Second one introduces the fact that she likes Reese, and the third resolves it in the end as John sends Reese back.

I'm not focusing on the romance because the protagonist is a girl, but because the war itself is kinda set in stone. You need to create characters who are not John or Reese to care about, and whose fates aren't already determined. Reese was John's friend, and so that role is filled. Heck, have John have a first wife, and a kid, who are killed in the second film. This will help give the main character more breathingvroom. Have the third's ending is the protagonist and John trying to make a life out of the ruins of both society and the losses that they have endured.

As long as the do it in the future war sequence style of the first two movies. That would be awesome.

You could use a Salvation style movie as the 1st since it shows the progression of the war - How at first the ground war was more even than thought, but as time progressed, Skynet was able to use it's technology and resources to surpass the humans on almost every front in significant ways

I'd prefer it was more like it was discussed in the original movie, with camps, etc. and we see the humans slowly rise up and win.

Damn, the marketing for this movie has been, as the Americans might say, a dumpster...not even a dumpster fire, since a fire would mean something actually happening.

We're long overdue an actual trailer for this movie, and 29th Aug has been thrown around (for obvious reasons).

In the UK at least, we have cinemas showing a T1 & T2 double-bill for one night only on that date, so there's maybe a chance we'll finally get something new for Dark Fate. Maybe.

I honestly think Hollywood will go through rebooting the franchise back to lower budget horror/scifi before they ever get around to a future war setting (which wouldn't bother me in the least, to be honest).

When either DF tanks or the planned trilogy runs its course, I doubt the franchise will be lucrative enough at that point for the money men to want to throw mega bucks at something like a CGI heavy future war.

The thing I'd really like to see, is a low(ish) budget movie that you don't know is a Terminator movie until around half or 3/4 of the way through. Market it as a basic slasher/thriller, with the police investigating a calculating serial killer that's zeroed in on a homeless drifter as their next victim. The reveal would only come when the killer is shot in a police gunfight, and it suddenly stands back up to reveal bits of endoskeleton showing through its face. The movie would end with the surviving main investigating officer receiving a DNA profile of the homeless man, revealing him to be one "John Connor". Both Connor and the badly damaged Terminator disappear without a trace in the carnage of the finale.

That would be far to clever. Studios these days bank on the name recognition to sell a movie and they always put way too much in the trailers.

Honestly, I’d love to see more surprise sequels like Split.
