Yes, indeed! I absolutely love what I have seen so far, and have no intention of canceling. After MP-44, this is my most anticipated purchase. I’m not a big fan of the face sculpt, but everything else more than makes up for it in my eyes.

And we’re just getting Bluestreak now. It’s all happening!

 

Having just rewatched "The Insecticon Syndrome" and "Day of the Machines," I realized Hound plays a larger role in those episodes than I remembered. He also looks really darn similar to MP-47 in the following screenshots (at least to me), particularly the face and eye shape:

 

That’s a really great toon accurate MP figure, holy cow.

 

Great shots, but his face is still deeper and fuller in the toon than in the toy. Enough that it still bothers me, but not enough to not want it - I feel this is going to give me the same feeling I had with Sunstreaker - just WOW. How did they fit so much awesome into such a neat little package?

 

I do know what you mean with the fuller face, although it doesn't seem to bother me now that I know the longer, more gaunt faces on recent MPs are to accommodate open-mouthed alternate faces. I guess my brain is automatically normalizing it for me now, so it just looks right   I also had a similar reaction to Sunstreaker, though I was feeling more iffy about the jigsaw panel lines than the face. But in hand (and in most non-Takara photos, strangely) that all disappeared, and he's now my favorite Autobot MP (so far).

 

She does look damn on point now I see.

 

I'm not surprised. IIRC Hound was supposed to be Spike's "buddy" and was going to feature prominently in the cartoon. That is why he and Spike were paired up frequently in the pilot. But at some point the writers realized that the Spike/Bumblebee match up worked better so Hound slowly disappeared into the background.

A great shot here, possibly the best one yet of seeing how Hound scales in alt mode. If you ask me he scales mighty well for what they had to accomplish!
