NA definitely has MST beat in car-mode IMO, but the missing headlights on Smokescreen are most likely down to these being pre-productions samples missing some parts/accessories. (One of Smokescreen's shoulder launchers was missing too.) I can't imagine the final release not having them.

Those are prototype figures in that video. Smokescreen is missing the headlights, but Prowl has them, and they look like they might be transparent on him - which explains why they are separate pieces.

There's also omissions like the fender mirrors, the different "pants" the three wear, and thigh details. I don't know the characters well enough to say if they all share the same abdomen details, but the MST figures look like they will.

Still holding off on the NA Datsuns so I can buy these. I own NA Bumblebee and Jazz... Great figures but I prefer the proportions of the MS Datsuns.

    Cosmos too.
Judging from their Weibo Hoist is next. They are going to show something off at Chinese convention on August 10th, but it could just be more info about their S1 'cons.

Wish it wasn't a 3 pack. I'd get MS Prowl and Streak then NA Smokescreen. I feel like Smokescreen should look short and stocky compared to his Ark bros

So tfsource changed the release now to October. Has there been truly no news on this set? I can’t find anything google wise as all that comes up is preorder pages.

There have been glimpses of colored prototypes in the backgrounds of other toy photos, but nothing revealing, or particularly exciting yet.

I hope they ship in October; I would hate to see these delayed like the Stunticons.

MS Optimus, who's the base for my Legends collection, is at 2:109 scale (when it arrives, I'll get a more precise measurement)
Optimus is 6 meters tall, while Prowl is only 4- at that scale he should be 7.3cm tall. Show.Z lists Newage Prowl at 8cm, and MS prowl looks significantly bigger than that, which raises the question: why

They aren’t going for scale? Idk to be honest. Although this is why most people I’ve seen use MS prime with newage carbots.

MS's scale is great for everything bar the carbots. Inferno and Blaster were spot on

NewAge Prowl is 7.6 cm at the top of the hood plate behind his head. Closer to 7.5 at the bot’s actual head.

NewAge has been pretty spot on with all their scaling. I just cram in characters from other companies that fit the general sizing. MST Prime works just fine, as does MST Hoist, & Trailbreaker.

Well, I don't care for the "holy scale" so I'm rather glad MST is doing their own thing. To my eyes, however flawed, they line up more with how I thought they should be. The cartoon was inconsistent and it's not like they ever showed the chart on air. This frame from the first ep pretty much fits what MST seems to be doing and my personal sense of scale.

The MP scale looks off to me, Prime was big but I never got the impression most of his troops were at or below his waist. Whenever I see that scale, I feel like he's Nanny from Muppet Babies. o_O ;)

Maybe if these are actually released I’d consider them a viable option. I’m starting to doubt if these or the Stunticons will ever be released.

I’ve gone through this every month since they went up for preorder on tfsource. I swear it’s like an internal battle.
