Now that we basically know the rest of Siege, I'm just going to count the days till they actually announce part 2.

I looked at the scedual for friday, Saturday etc. Nothing listed for TF so I guess that's its, we've seen it all it seems.

Hot shot is very good , his paint deco make the mold an entirely different character! loving him.
Decep deco of Impactor prove to be far more handsome than autobot impactor. Very cool. v

 

They were the least specific of the leaks, so we should prepare for the possibility that they may not be not true at all.
I've been in a wide range of online communities where famous leakers have either sprinkleed in lies with the legit stuff so they can claim plausible deniability if their bosses find out, or otherwise leakers that don't have anything legitimate at all, but want to ride on the fame of previously successful leak seasons to stay relevant.

Not saying either of those are what's happening here, but we should never just assume a leak is true.

 

While I suspect we'll never get a clear confirmation, I think that's a pretty reasonable assumption, and certainly one I've been making. It's not just that Warden originally said Siege would be four waves, but also a Siege fan vote loser turning up in Spinister, a gimmick that's firmly outside the established tropes of Siege with Apeface, perhaps more nebulously we also have the move from a predominantly season 1 focus to to predominantly characters from '87 onwards. I guess we don't actually know if the Micromaster combiners are part of wave 5, but if so that'd be the nail in the coffin for me, as they're the sort of evolution of a concept that I'd expect to be introduced as part of the start of a new line, rather than the arse end of another.

So, here I am. The morning after. I've smashed up everything I own, shattered all my close relationships in my fury and now I stand outside a burning house, using a couriers lap top to type this. It's been a rough night.

Obviously I jest. It's frustrating that we didn't get to see even a silhouette of some of the characters for WfC:2 or (I think?) get confirmation that it actually is called 'Armageddon', but that's the absolute most I was expecting at this point anyway. And, taken as an act of trolling on Hasbro's part, it's pretty funny!

And Runamuck! I really thought it was going to be two time loser Needlenose. It's ok, I guess. I mean, he'll get a figure in wave five or six or seven of WfC:2, right? And while I'm a bit disappointed that we're not getting him anytime soon, I'm genuinely pretty thrilled to get the Battlechargers (and we will get them both!). Part of me does wonder if it was fixed for Runamuck to win as they'd already get Runabout lined up and didn't want to have to contort themselves to release both of 'em.

 

Too bad Hasbro didn’t show him (Hot Shot) off yesterday!

 

I'd imagine it may be a mixture of stuff from Part 2 and things like Crosshairs with minimal lead time, so things like recolours with the only mold changes being a new head which takes a lot less time to design than the engineering needed for an entirely new figure.

 

John's comments in the interview about battle damage going forward are interesting, saying it will depend on the character and story. Those on Cybertron might retain it, those elsewhere (on the Ark, going by Runamok's bio) might not.

Could this be suggesting the story might split in two? One thread of the story carries on with activity on Cybertron, the other in space perhaps. Siege has something like 60 characters, which is plenty for telling two different stories in the one line.

 

Means we're getting Knockout?

 

The way I see the Needlenose loss is that the fan vote would've seen him get a new mold.
By losing the vote, he's likely to make an appearance as a Tetrajet, like the TCG, as it requires minimal effort on Hasbro's part and has synergy with the Battlemaster gimmick.

And frankly, I prefer that look for him.

 

Aw, I'd boo that. I'd like him deluxe and new mold, plz!

 

Uh, WFC:Siege Spinster suggests quite the opposite.

 

Plus we need some Deluxe jets to redeco into the Predators for Selects/Exclusives.

 

Spinister is a helicopter. They don't have one of those. Of course they made a new mold.
Needlenose is depicted in current TF media as a Tetrajet.

They're not comparable.

 

Decepticon miner Impactor looks good, but MMC Spartan is still leagues better. But, his appearance means we could get a miner Megatron.

And Knockout, why not. If they give us Rung, anything could happen. Dr. Handsome sure needs a toy that does him justice.

 

Anyone else think Frenzy (blue!) and Buzzsaw might be a surprise addition to all the Walmart exclusives? Seeing how this line is themed, it makes some sense, especially if Walmart gets this stuff as one of those "island" displays.
