Complaints that merchandise focused too much on the Original Trilogy were valid. Thankfully, we're starting to see more prequel-oriented items.

After these new pics, Astrotrain is now officially bought. Looks so good. Apeface is also still on the radar, but not a high priority.

Also that Renzy is adorable. Same with Rung.

 

Astrotrain looks incredible, definitely preordered. I’m really interested in Ratbat and Rumble too.

 

What other Targetmasters have been released in the Siege line.....because last I checked the battle masters that have been released are for figures that were released in Titans Return...

 

In fact, not until wave 5 has there been any target masters with their accompanying companion packaged together.

 

Blam320's point was that Spinister's Targetmaster partners will definitely be released as Battlemasters (we've already seen at least one of them). Including two Battlemasters with Spinister wouldn't be feasible at the Deluxe pricepoint without significantly decreasing the size/parts count of Spinister.

Not sure what you're talking about regarding Wave 5 having Targetmasters packaged with their partners. Do we even know what Wave 5 of Siege is?

 

Wave 5 includes Apeface, Spinister and Crosshairs....

I wasn't sure exactly what wave the recent reveals are in. Crosshairs does not include his Targetmaster partner, so again, I'm not sure what you're talking about regarding figures including them.

And many people colloquially refer to Targetmaster partners as Targetmasters - same with Headmasters and Powermasters. You know that they were referring to Targetmaster partners.

 

So if you're not sure, then why are you replying?

I am talking about the Legends Targetmasters figures being released packaged WITH their companions (same package). The fact that the first three Targetmasters that are being released in the Siege line do NOT come with their companions is Boo.

Blowpipe, Aimless and Caliburst were released to coincide with the TR Legends, so that's not the same.

Which at no point specifies that Targetmasters will be packaged with partners just that Targetmesters like Blowpipe will be included in the battlemasters assortment.

How does spinister’s left leg work in vehicle mode and why was he given two cockpits for legs?

 

I believe it's been confirmed that the other cockpit folds up underneath the copter.

 

Thanks hasbro. Between you and all the third party combiners there goes all my vacation money. Worth it keep up the good work. Not too sold on the astrotrain head sculpt but maybe it will grow on me 

 

Too true! We are still just getting to 1989 micromasters and 1988 double targetmasters. Now we move on to 1990 micromaster combiners, and I expect a few Action Master hommages (but transforming) like Banzai-tron, Rad, Jackpot, Rollout. Then comes 2021 for the 1991 EU stuff like Turbomasters and Predators, Motorvators, maybe a Titan class Overlord...  

 

Trust me, Ihave 5 of those Takara molds and am selling them off now. They may look more distinct and have more articulation as robots, but are terrible in weapon mode. The legs and arms often don't clip together, and just hang there, while the hasbro ones clip into a solid compact gun. The weird translucent barrels are also not great. And I love the way you can remove the guns from the back and add on the arms for the Hasbro battlemasters. I did comparison pics with Misfire amd Triggerhappy if anyone is interested.

 

Pinpointer comes with G2 Sideswipe and Grandslam, called Trenchmouth now.
Fracas (Scourge's partner) and Hairsplitter (now called something else) come with Skywarp.
So yeah as that poster above said, you need to keep up with the reveals.
