@Shanxs Replacement part for my KO of CW upgrade set for Motormaster arrived today. This means I can honestly recommend that seller, he/she responded quickly to my message, asked for pictures and immediately shipped replacement for damaged part. I wish all sellers on eBay were like him/her.
Wow. I got mine and have been messing with it for the better part of this week and...I’m just not impressed. The engineering is simultaneously overwrought and underwhelming. Each mode somehow looks like it was a compromise for the other modes. And transformation isn’t fun. This is supposed to have improved on Hasbro’s version? Yikes.
This definitely is an improvement over Hasbro's version. That said, it's still more or less Hasbro's version. You may want to head over MMC, TFC, or UT's way.
I just got Jinbao OS Predaking KO and it came with extra tiger hands upgrade but there are no tiger hands in box just small red/yellow connectors. What are the “extra tiger hands”
For Jinbao the hands come with the leg bots. Also Jinbao is a KO of MMC Feral Rex, while WJ is a KO of POTP Predaking. KO upscaled Feral Rex/Predaking and Catilla
Hi Rodann, Your Predaking cannons look good ... did you extend them and if so, how? I just got my WJ Sky Soarer and am now trying to figure out what I can mix and match. WJ gave a few improvements but they also seemed to have made a number of changes that are designed to make swapping difficult.
I know I'm late to the party but I thought I'd write a summary of my experience trying to mix and match my original POTP Predacons ("TT") with DNA upgrades and the Model Wizard Predacons ("WJ") to get the best of both worlds. Before I got my hands on the WJ set, my intention was to keep the claws and wings from the DNA set but at the same time take advantage of the better joints that I heard the WJ would give me. Perhaps I should have watched more video reviews to understand the differences and (in)compatibility between both sets but given that I had a chance to buy the WJ giftset for just USD36, I just plunged straight on in. After having had a chance to mess around, Summary of relevant compatibility 1. The WJ combiner head has a light-up feature. However, the head sculpt is slightly inferior to the TT head sculpt and as someone pointed out before, the light-up feature lights up the whole head. 2. The WJ armbots can attach to the TT Razorclaw (and vice-versa) without issue. 3. WJ has messed with the peghole size and the WJ Predaking shoulder cannon pegs are smaller than the TT 5mm holes. This also means the upsized WJ X-ray cannon (which I like a lot) cannot fit into the TT Divebomb's peghole. 4. WJ also messed with the armbots' combiner hand attachment tabs and the DNA clawed hand upgrades will not fit onto the WJ armbots. Well, I did manage to squeeze a DNA hand onto WJ Rampage but it wasn't a good fit and it caused gappiness in the the forearm. I couldn't get the DNA hand to fit on WJ Divebomb at all. This was a major bummer for me as I like the DNA hands a lot better than the WJ hands. 5. The DNA wings cannot fit onto the WJ Divebomb's backpack (which turns into the lower half of Predaking's torso). However, the WJ Divebomb's backpack can be swapped with the TT Divebomb's backpack without issue. 6. The DNA waist fillers can fit onto the WJ Razorclaw in torso mode, without issue. The DNA tail/back filler cannot plug into WJ Razorclaw because there is only one peghole on the WJ Razorclaw instead of two found on TT Razorclaw. 7. The WJ legbots and TT legbots are the same in terms of all relevant compatibility. Unlike the situation with the hands, the DNA foot mortars can fit onto the WJ legbots without issue. My current setup and thoughts for the future I have used the WJ Razorclaw to form the upper torso of Predaking. This allows me to have the light-up feature. To address the LED being too strong, I intend to paint the head. Learning from the experience of those before, I will paint the outside of the head in orange and red - no disassembly required and hopefully that will mitigate the light bleed. If I screw it up/don't like it, I should be able to easily strip the paint. I have used the TT Divebomb backpack to form the lower part of Predaking's torso. This allows me to use the DNA wings instead of the inferior WJ wings (yay!). I have also transformed WJ Razorclaw's legs the same way as I would for TT Razorclaw which allows me to stow the DNA back filler into Predaking's back. I don't use the two pegs, but I instead use the side panels to hold the back filler in place. I have also installed the DNA waist upgrades. The arms are tricky. If I use the WJ armbots, I get a larger X-ray cannon and lighter arms/better joints, but I have crappier hands that can't hold the DNA sword. If I use the TT armbots, I gain the clawed DNA hands and DNA sword but lose the WJ arm cannon. Decisions, decisions. For now, I have used ... WJ Divebomb (for the larger arm cannon) and TT Rampage (which has the DNA hand that holds the DNA sword). Hahaha, I'll just have to pose him such that it isn't apparent I'm using different hands! What I may do is mod/thicken the peg on the arm cannon to fit a 5mm peghole and then use both TT armbots. But truth be told I like the WJ Divebomb in arm mode better than the TT, as it is more detailed. I don't have OS Jinbao clawed hands (which Rodann used) but I may look into acquiring them as another hand option to go with the WJ armbots although from what I know of the MMC Feral Rex hands, I don't see how they would attach onto WJ Predaking ... and anyway Jinbao hands still won't let Predaking hold the DNA sword. Lastly, I wanted longer shoulder cannons for my Predaking (hence my earlier question to Rodann and answered by Omega495). What I have done is to take the WJ cannon and fit the muzzle on backwards (I hate the "blunderbuss" look anyway; it's an unbelievably stupid change by WJ and I'm glad there is an option to turn that piece around). Then, I have fitted the detachable barrel part from the TT set into the WJ muzzle. It's a slightly tight fit but it works without stressing any plastic. I'm now quite happy with the length and look of my Predaking shoulder cannons. Everything reversible, no modding or painting required! I'm a little annoyed with WJ ... they have improved the individual bot modes, but bot mode is hardly the draw of this set - and they have clearly done things to hinder straight compatibility with TT. I mean, these things are KOs; what kind of exclusivity do they think they need to maintain? The only one WJ is possibly screwing over (besides us) is DNA, and I don't think DNA gives a *bleep* nor are their sales affected nor are WJ's increased as a result of purposeful incompatibility. If anything, I think more people would buy WJ if it was easy to mix-and-match parts. Or maybe WJ has an established ecosystem using 3mm ports? I don't normally buy WJ; I dunno. That said, for USD36, I can afford to be a little more forgiving, I guess . I've added two pics ... I know that the robot legs of each arm bot are exposed, but I prefer it this way as I find the default transformation leads to stubby arms. One thing that WJ did right was to colour the wrist of each hand in a different colour from the grey of the hand, which gives the illusion of a longer forearm. I will probably do the same for the wrists of my DNA hands at some point in the future. Another thought: Given that the tips of the WJ foot mortars are now removeable, it would be great if I could find a way to get more tapered tips. The blocky default look is quite ugly.

I just got mine and have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with this set. The combined mode is frankly the most solid feeling gestalt transformer I have ever held.
Finally got mine in yesterday (sadly, smartlulu's shipping luck seems to have run out for me so ShowZ was drafted in and delivered nice and quickly - thanks for that). Really solid EXCEPT the combined mode head is loose as hell on mine. Going to have to increase the size of the ball joint a bit to make up for it. Still, this was a fun and very worthwhile project, and at a grand total of about $115CDN all in... yeah, I'll take that. Not sure if I'm in for the upgrade kit if it actually does come out, but even without it I like him more than the retail version.
