i need a replacement for MP 10 but i don't know if I want to get mp 44 it looks nice in both modes but it also looks like the chest transformation is going to be weird by being half fo-chest and half real.

But i don't know if i want to get te-01 because he's bigger then megatron which i don't think is right.

So i'm kind of on the fence about what i should get and I'm just kind of waiting for reviews to come out of MP 44 before i make a decision

I'm still really looking forward to MP-44. Got ~$200 in card rewards saved up for him.

I also got TE-01B because I genuinely like both molds, and Transform Element gave me an excuse to get both by making a Nemesis version. :v

I should have preordered him the way the PO was available and paid him with gift cards. That way I would have had the cheapest option and I could have locked him at the best currency rate.

No he isn’t. He is actually shorter than MP-36 Megatron. Just FYI

I'm pretty sure you can also recreate this epic scene with MP44 and his tiny backpack :D

TE-01 is a clear winner in my opinion

TE-01 sure is the winner. I don't see MP-10 or MP-44 recreating that scene as accurately. I'm sure your post will bring out the anti-3P trolls.

Many times I read about that passion thingie....Well I tell you, if you want to create the end all be all x character and you are passionate about it, you wont make him look like Swiss cheese or the hunchback of Notre Dam...And indeed there are minor details in....minore details that spoil it....exposed screw holes in the damn wrists as an example....Sorry for coming out as if trying to bang heads with you (thats not the case so have my apologies if it feels that way). So yeah....What I mean is that this is an enterprise....Sure they might want to create something good (after all they are designers) but at the end of the day all that influences the end product is cost efficiency and how much they sell it.

On a final note on expertise: Again, I would say expertise is a hallmark that is carved upon details. Yes Mp44 has super articulation....at the cost of his looks. That doesnt sound like expertise to me. TE managed to keep the majority of its articulation AND its aesthetics to boot with sacrafices that really are an afterthought.

They indeed might not be that experienced but they seem to know how to strike the right balance, a balance that TT/Has seems to have bereft.

Well, if the hunchback worked out.
TE may have struck a good balance, but it's not perfect; the figure as whole is good, but it is not animated, in the sence that it looks stagnent, while MP-44 looks animated.
MP-44 is only worth around $250, but it is still a better deal than TE-01, in the sence that for me, I would only ever look at TE-01 as a cardboard cutout, not as Optimus Prime. (Not to downplay it though)

    :wtf:

How is a damn near $450 dollar figure loaded with:

    1) Mostly useless accessories (don’t lie, you may take what 2/3 photos and that crap will end up back in the box).

    2) Enough line breaks in the sculpt to put California fault lines to shame.

    and

    3) A GIANT backpack with a voice box (see item 1).

seem like a “better deal”? Honestly the trailer is the only accessory I MAY have wanted to have come with TE-01, that’s a BIG maybe because it wouldn’t have ended up being displayed in the end anyway.

Yes MP-44 May have more articulation than TE-01, but at some point they went overboard with that goal and just destroyed the potential for a nice clean bot mode.

Oh well at this point we are just :deadhorse:

    Your money, your choices.

Stop struggling, people just keep thinking that repeating only the official is good will finally make others realize they are right. I like both TE-01 and MP-44 but can only afford TE. It seems I am part of a minority that likes both.

What I can’t understand is why loads of MP44´s fans just keep bashing TE-01. Does being able to afford MP44 really make you better as a human being that you can keep criticizing other third parties options without any scruples?

I'll be honest, after getting my TE-01 V2 w/new head months ago, I have all but forgotten that MP-44 is even coming out. Seriously, I only remember when I'm on these boards and are reminded, or when the adware on my computer suggests I purchase it. :p

That's how far TE has crushed the "expert" competition in my eyes.

I had owned both TE-01 and MS-01 at the beginning of the year. I didnt like MS-01 look or colors, nor transformation, and the faceplate/ head bothered me.

I saw MS-1X (ie X version colors) at TFCon, and... I liked it. I thought it looked MUCH better than MS-01. The silver faceplate/face made a huge difference in terms of looks, and so did the overall colors looked much better than MS-01...

Had MS-01X been released back in January and i would have bought both, i would have kept both probably, eventhough i prefer TE-01 more, i would still like the look of MS-01. It's too late now unfortunately.

    -----------------------------------------

As for Nemesis Prime Colors, based on imagine alone, i feel the MS looks much better than the TE one. The colors on the thigh just ruin it all on the TE-01, and just overall, MS looks more prestine and nicer for Nemesis.

Question - How many owners of MS-01 and or TE-01 will be replacing their figures with a KO MP-44 ?
