Given that the info was probably being relayed by phone from Sunbow NYC office (Sunbow Westwood would probably not be open yet) to Marvel Productions in California. I'm thinking more of a New Yawk accent.

And the constant misspelling of Laserbeak would continue right in to Season 3 (Which per the post-it note stuck on his model cel, he was not supposed to be used at that point anyway).

Who cares about gold-played Optimus? I want the render of that base so I can use it as a diorama!

Amazing to think that back when this was first released there were no real inkjet printers available in retail to print your own copy of the base. Now there are readily available printers that you can create your own toys with!

Jomaster is correct. It says Shockwave in katakana right next to it. Guess they only decided to go with Laserwave somewhere later down the line for whatever reason.

Looks more like "Sha" シャー than "Sho" ショー to me. My assumption is that the japanese notes were made by an american, who was not aware of the correct spelling of Shockwave, let alone he was Laserwave in Japan.

You're right! Was looking at it on my phone yesterday but seeing it on my desktop now it does clearly say シャークウェーブ (Sharkwave) lol!
    I like your theory!

I think this set looks pretty cool! The price at BBTS seems a bit high, but totally worth it. I really hope this one gets funded.
