That's the second time you've pointed out the fact that these exist because they're quick and cheap to produce, a point I've never disputed. I'm not sure why it's relevant to what I DID say....

But it really doesn't matter. I didn't actually reject your assertion that the weathering was built into the molding budget. I just found it surprising.

The interesting mystery here is how a guy from Las Vegas, managed to seemingly be the only guy on the planet with a set of these exclusive toys for sale?

If it was someone from Asia then that would make a bit more sense since that seems where most of the leaked pics come from, and stuff seems to fall of a truck from time to time, but this situation is hard to figure out.

From the look of his other items for sale, they aren't high ticket or super rare items, so its just odd that among a bunch of other random stuff he has this holy grail seeker collectible so early.

Maybe he works at Target and grabbed a box of the truck but if they were there already you think you'd see a lot more of them up on ebay but there's been nothing else but his set.

I definitely got to get these. Ironically, it is a deal at 80 since voyagers cost 30 each typically.

used to be that exclusives, in particularly multipacks, were less then the MSRP of the individual figures... not a lot, but $5-10 or so...a lot of cost is in the packaging, so it's cheaper to sell multiple figures in one package then those same figures individually: plus, in this case you've got the same mold 3X with extremely minimal paint apps and almost only 1 plastic color for each one... really, $80s pushing it, i was hoping for $75, but it's better then the $90 or even $100 i was afraid Hasbro'd try and gouge these for.

It actually makes *more* sense that he has two than him having just one. As now you can trace it back to a stray case that got away from distribution somehow and wound up in his hands.

What's the difference? You can call generic yellow jet guy anything you want, right?

This release really screams LAZY and come on people the mold is not great to begin with.
It's a complete shellformer where literally NONE of the robot mode is incorporated into the alt mode. And then that falls apart when you transform it.

The guy said he got them from a friend whos a regional manager for target, and only sold them because something happened to his car. Actually the guy and I exchanged a few messages about the hobby and collecting. He said hes going to try to snap a few more photos of them before he ships them out.

A friend of mine said he saw the tag for these at his local Target, and they are reportedly in stock there (in the backroom).

Yeah, I think these will be hitting saturation by August, at the latest. A very left field surprise from Hasbro, for sure, but it's amusing Target is becoming the mecca for Transformers Seekers now.

Cool that's very interesting. Thanks for the info, that explains things nicely.
That's exactly the kind of answer I was hoping for from my earlier post.

Maybe it's just the packaging / angle / but the Blue Seeker (Ion Storm?) looks MUCH shorter than the others. I thought he was a deluxe when I first saw the picture.

Nope no street date, so far they've been found in California and Massachusetts.

Oh nice. Well the mods should be alerted then, because that is newsworthy.
