Anybody use any type of stand for the jet mode yet? Which one?

 

You can use the stand for fanstoys soar, it's not very secure though and I think it would end up marking his thighs eventually

Agreed. Baba has always been great to deal with, even with the language barrier. I got my refund within 24 hours of my reply to his email and he gave me a $10 off coupon for my next purchase.

FT has become a master in origami and mass shifting stuff. This is the only time I can excuse their horrible transformations.

Still a pass and still waiting for the inevitable box set.

My copy of Maverick is set to arrive tomorrow. I didn't have many TF toys as a kid, but I had Air Raid and Skydive. I remember playing with them while 'Spies Like Us' was on tv. Weird memory, but I was fond of the Aerialbots when the cartoon was airing and somehow that memory makes me excited for this team. I don't have the same enthusiasm with my QC ridden Zeta set. Definitely a low bar, but I hope the FT set is better.

 

fwiw... got my copy of Mav that was pre-ordered ages ago from Show.Z yesterday.

Am waiting on Baba to ship me another when he gets re-stocked before opening one.

TFSource apparently got theirs in today. I decided to order one there, even though I'm not totally sure I'm going to keep it, because I had $15 worth of store credit.

 

Well that's no roadking transformation that's for sure.
What it accomplishes is very impressive but its not much fun and lacks the intuitive flow of his decepticon counterpart.

Bloody good plane tho.

Too many to quote back. I am a sub of Ben's reviews, but seemingly he's most of the time harsh on FT figures. Maybe it's because he has to pay for it? I don't know. Ever notice he has none, or from what I've seen compared any FT figures to other figures he's currently reviewing?

 

Can Zeta Silverbolt and FT Maverick combiner body be swapped out for Superion?

 

I've noticed this, FT he seems to be way more critical of just because they are FT. Honestly, I am not sure there is a 100% objectively fair reviewer out there to all companies. BSF seems to favor FT but he has been critical of some. EMGO seems to love everything. Paik maybe? I haven't watched his recently.

 

No, two totally different manufacturers with what I would expect to be completely different methods to integrate Silverbolt into the Superion frame.

These won’t be interchangeable.

 

I've said this before. Up to Terminus Giganticus, he was always positive about FT figures. But that's also the last free lunch reviewers got from FT. After that, he became pretty harsh. The same TG that he had praised before suddenly could barely stand in his DX9 Gabriel review.

This is why I generally dislike "reviewers". These people expect to get paid to shill. If you want to do that, why not just get an office job like the rest of us. Just because they are too lazy to wake up in the morning does not mean we should accommodate their behavior.
