Even though I can't wait to get him, I'm a little nervous as to what he'll be like. Nothing really been mentioned about these guys. No reviews. Just hope the QC is good.

Ohmyprimus is pretty good, a little slow, but I've ordered 2 or 3 things from them and it was always a good experience. but I think BBTS has it for like 40 dollars cheaper

 

I’m surprised Benscollectables never got these guys when he was able to do a premature starsaber review, and he’s out after them.

 

My Vejovis (Ratchet) arrived about an hour ago, and on very very initial impressions, he seems pretty decent, but doesn't blow me away. Posing is fairly limited - the elbows are a single joint, and can't even get a full 90 degrees because of how chunky the forearms are. Paint is generally a bit sloppy with mild but noticeable overspray which I just don't expect from Planet X. Transformation is actually fairly interesting, but fights you a bit - the backpack pulls out, but is spring loaded, and you have to move a couple of other bits while it's pulled out, which is really awkward! Other than that it's fairly straightforward though, but just involved enough to be interesting.

Randomly, his weapon comes disassembled, and you have to put it together yourself. No idea why, but tbh I really liked it!

On the plus side, he's a nice solid unit in both modes (no diecast, but still feels solid enough) and other than the unnecessary spring on the backpack, I think that ones I've run through transformation a few times it'll be easily memorable and he'll be a pretty fun fiddlebot.

I don't massively regret not picking up Mars, but I'm glad I got this one at least.

 

Thanks for the impressions. It was fairly obvious from the photos of these guys that they lack a range to pose from. The sloppy paint has me worried a bit I admit.

Do you think the spring backpack has anything to do with them showing off the LED compatibility from Genesis?

Just cancelled my preorder. Sloppy paint? Not acceptable for 90. If later on he goes on sale, I'll pick him up.

 

Just want to clarify the point about "sloppy paint", as I feel I overstated it a bit. I mean this:



Bear in mind these images are really zoomed in. They're barely noticeable unless you get up really close. And even then I get the impression this is very much a case of "your mileage may vary."

I've warmed up to him a bit after playing around more. I transformed him second time without instructions and it was definitely easier, though rotating the collar pieces while holding the backpack out to counteract the spring-loaded thing remains (mildly) annoying. If I had 3 hands it would fine, but alas, I don't. Please donate to my GoFundMe for experimental extra hand surgery.

No idea I'm afraid. I don't have Genesis. That said, I can't see any way this would really interact with anything. There's not a huge lot of clearance even when it's fully pulled out.

Although they're working on PX-C figs atm, they've mentioned (loosely) that they're not done with FoC/WfC. Albeit, I do personally fear eventually they will cease to work on FoC/WfC (maybe my paranoia).

 

They did show images of him with one of those round LED pucks lighting up his torso a while back so maybe...
