First transformation was real bad and his left hand refuses to stay on, but I’m starting to really like it. I don’t really like that he can’t roll in vehicle mode but the look of both modes and the incorporation of vehicle parts in robot mode makes the transformation a really cool process.

 

Hmmm.. Last couple of posts seem nice. Tho, I'm a bit more limited on funds than I had hoped. So I'll wait till DX9 comes out, and watch the review vids first before making the purchase.

 

Lets hope some KO company can fix this guy, like most KO companies does with Hastaks figures. If someone could fix the QC and give him La Hires head he'd be a lot better

 

Think im going to just get DX9 maybe, seems to scale better somewhat, I like the look of both buuut i kind of have more Faith in DX9/Unique toys as a company that it will stay together better

 

this was posted to facebook a few minutes ago, the dx9 version and a customized hot fire. I always assumed dx9 was quite a bit smaller.

 

Yeah im sold on DX9 im feeling the Alt and bot mode a little more.. Also the face sculpt is much better imo

I’m gonna get the one that actually hold together which is the dx9 if I’m not mistaken. Having a functional transformation and hands that stay in is more important to me.

 

I still like the TFEVO one more. The dx9 is nice but not on par with hot fire... well... at least with looks. I'll still get hot fire if I can find him cheap. The problem is that most etailers decided to not carry him or return them instead of marking them down.

 

That sounds like a really good reason not to get it.

 

I know the issues before hand and I have no problem fixing him.

He's on sale on TF Direct for 80$ but i feel like that's still too much for such a hot mess.

 

Yep. $40 would be pushing it and only if you REALLY liked the character.

Also, did anyone ever get that replacement head they talked about?

 

They went under. There won't be any replacement anything anymore.

 

Figured as much. Just wondered if it had ever surfaced.
This POS is probably my biggest purchase regret ... and that’s from someone who bought Bold Forms Gladius!!
