This looks real nice, but I can't justify it.

GI Joe collectors as a whole were the definition of the "I'll wait for it to hit Ross" crowd. As a collector from the start of the 25th through GIJCC FSS, I saw it time and time again. Many wouldn't pay the $40 or $50 for a Skystriker or a Tomahawk, let alone a $600 Flagg or Terrordrome (for the sake of argument). JMHO.

Yes, there are plenty. People would just rather be upset then find a solution.

Could just be one very fine bottle of scotch or bourbon (replace with your spirit of choice).

You would think Hasbro would get their shit together after the sail barge for international folks, especially for something like this. I see no reason why they couldn't do it.

I"m also not a fan of large corporations "crowfunding" products. We always here about how much it costs to make prototypes and that is why products are so expensive. Yet they can somehow make something like this not knowing for sure if it will get made?

Unfortunately you still have to pay the GST/PST or HST as well. So tack on that to the $575 + $30 shipping in USD.

Exactly, Why they couldn't get one of the containers of Unicrons shipped from China to Europe. Rather than having all of them shipped to The USA then make everyone pay exhorbitant shipping from the USA, when they all came from China/Vietnam anyway.

It’s amusing because that rumors thread was kicking ass this week until this news broke and now it’s crickets over there.

Not offended at all. Its probably the way us dutch debate and discuss. We call ugly things ugly. And nice things nice.
I read what you said and I agree mostly. But I firmly believe what goes around comes around. So we will see in the end.

For international backers, Barricade64 cleared it up. So if you want to get one you have to wait until the US/Canada fans successfully fundit

Er... making the metal mold for mass production is where most of the cost goes. The one in the video is a 3D-printed prototype.

He’s so close to perfection but I really wish they would give him his shoulder spikes. Maybe the spikes will come as detatchable pieces you attatch to those nubs on the shoulders so they don’t interfere with the transformation or something like that? Sorry I’m just nitpicking.

Who else likes the planet mode better than the robot mode, like I do?

Robot mode is great and all, but seeing those little "teeth" that crunch into the planets in plastic for the very first time is totally awesome!

All of those spikes on him are going to be the rubbery plastic aren't they?

How has that material held up after time?

You're right, you do have a voice and every right to be vocal. But when you offer an opinion you should probably expect someone to offer a counter. If you can't handle that, I don't know what to tell you...

The, "I have a right to my opinion" is a two way road.

Also, you don't seem to understand how this works. You ask, "yes, you pledge $500 now but what happens next? Will they want another $500...?"

No, they are committing you to paying $574.99, plus tax where required, and that's all any one purchase for one figure will be. There's no deception, no secondary fees. HasLab said, "you and 7999 other people pay $574.99, these get made. You get it two years down the road."

Don't try to confuse the matter because you choose to be ignorant to the system in play. Or are sore because it's not something you want.

And don't be angry because you, "use your voice" only to have someone else explain why everything you choose to say is entirely wrong not based on opinion but rather the facts as HasLab clearly explained them.

Second, how can you argue that "[people won't be able to support Unicron because of life in general]" and then argue, "[but plenty of people would jump on board the Flagg]" and neglect your argument about family, bills, whatever?

Those things will still exist regardless of what HasLab is trying produce.

Do you really believe that all of those "life circumstances" you mentioned will get cast aside by a die hard Joe fan because he really wants that Flagg as opposed to a die hard TF fan who is on the fence about Unicron? Do you?

And, again, Jabba's sail barge was four foot long, fourteen inches wide and seventeen inches tall and required a $500 dollar purchase at 5,000 supporters. How much do you think a Flagg would cost you at nearly double each dimension?

Or, do you think HasLab would try to offset the cost by doubling the number of supporters required? Do you think there are 10,000 Joe fans willing to pay, let's just say, $600 dollars up front despite these little bits of life that still cost money?

Now, that all said, yes, if GI Joe were still an active toyline then HasLab probably is the best chance at getting a Flagg or new Terrordrome. And, no doubt, people would do what they could to support it.

But that is not the entire argument you were making. You were saying, "how can Hasbro expect people to pay that much for Unicron? Now a Flagg, people would pay that much for a Flagg..." and that's entirely your opinion. Wrong as it may be.

Cool but that's gonna be a hell of a tense wait.

Re: buying services, a mate looked into one, he had to estimate the box size but it came with a shipping cost of $800 so fork that.

I think this is amazing, but I don't have money for it. Hopefully it will go into mass production for cheaper...

The Sail Barge was delivered via FedEx.

Well, it's discussion, in a discussion thread - that really shouldn't be surprising.
That's without factoring in that someone is always going to complain about price.
