Well who knows really? I mean Michael Bay was production adviser for Bumblebee yet that film is very little like anything he’s done and would’ve approved. Hopefully it’s very little involvement and that the show is the best it can be.

Exactly. It’s a kid show which a couple fandom members happen to like. They’ve got kids covered with that. Now this Netflix show hopefully caters to a more involved narrative that has a lot more value and complexity. That’s what I’d hope for at least.

 

Okay .. I take that back. Please dont let be as horrible as Machinima's Titans Returns/ POTP mini web series. That was beyond bad.

 

Don't get me wrong. I love a lot of what Rooster Teeth has done. It's just that a lot of recent events have me concerned. I honestly hope the company can improve and come back to what they were not too long ago. (And make Nomad of Nowhere season 2 dang it!)

Who knows. Maybe managing a show like this could help? That'd be nice.

On a side note, does anybody think this show will be available on the RT website/app? I know it's gonna be on Netflix but they still have a direct connection to this project.

 

no one knows. they haven't renewed gen:LOCK either, and that's going to be on Toonami in August. RWBY Chibi wasn't renewed this year either, it just stopped suddenly in the middle of its third season. there's some Chibi skits involving Coco, but none of them ever aired.

That’s exactly what this will be. Not sure if we’ll see anything from it this week (maybe a logo or some designs; a trailer if we’re lucky), but I remain cautiously optimistic.

 

Do we know yet if this is going to have that werid low-framerate style that the Prime Trilogy had? It didn't bother me much in RiD, but it aas terrible elsewhere.

 

It’s a Netflix original. It will have to conform with Netflix requirements. Thats not a guarantee, but I think it’s likely that NF will require higher quality animation. Moreover, Dragon Prince season 1 had a bit of a similar effect and it was changed for S2 based on feedback. Netflix is nothing if not data driven.

 

I liked it because it was like a commercial for the toys i recently bought at the time  

 

I really hope that the Haslab Unicron being produced under the WFC banner isn’t indicative of him being planned for the show.

It’s animated by Polygon Pictures. Take a reference at their anime to see what it looks like.

 

Polygon Pictures has done 24FPS shows before (TF: Prime, Star Wars: Resistance).

 

I’m going to make a bold prediction here, but one I feel relatively confident about:

Netflix War For Cybertron is going to be an EARTHRISE based show and will launch alongside ER in March/April.

That would explain why we haven’t seen a single frame to date. They didn’t want to spoil the toyline. It also makes the most sense for Netflix, because casual viewers get Earth modes, Prime with trailer etc.

I’m also going to speculate at something that I’m far less confident about, but which I think is a remote possibility:

NF WFC will be based in the same universe and will share continuity with IDW2.

I think that’s fairly unlikely given how Aligned didn’t work out, but it’s possible. They share at least one writer, and the timelines would make it easier.

We’ll see. If my first prediction is true, I’d expect a trailer this year.

 

Would make sense if it was Earth Rise. Unless they pull a CW and make a show that was airing while the next toy line started.

As for it’s continuity I don’t really care. But I’d prefer it be on its own. Shared continuity gets messy.
