Guys, this is an amazing piece of engineering, but a big part of me wants this to fail. Hasbro has already increased toy prices up so much the last decade without leaps and bounds in engineering to match such an increase. The economy is stronger than it was in 2012 when these price hikes began. Toys R Us’s collapse didn’t impact the toy industry that much if customers were already buying toys predominately elsewhere. Crude oil has gone down over the last decade. I just don’t buy the idea of inflation being the answer or kids not playing with physical toys as much

Yes, Unicron looks awesome. Yes, I want one. Yes, it’s an adult collector. None of that justifies the batshit crazy price tag. $600 is too much, not even considering taxes. It’s an adult collectors item in limited production, yes.

This is Hasbro though, not a third party company. This needs 8k backers in a month and a half’s time. Expect the influx of supporters to dwindle after the first few days

At the risk of sounding pious and preachy, please don’t put yourselves into financial ruin over a toy if you can’t afford it.

 

What I don't understand is why he's so large. It just increases the price a ton and it's not like he's ever going to scale with anything. Even if you had a Legends Galvatron, let's not forget Galvy is supposed to fit in his mouth with plenty of space to spare.

 

I love the look of this and with the release being in 2021, the end of the WFC trilogy (if it doesn’t get extended), I see this as the culmination of my transformers collecting and kinda the grand finale of it all for me.

 

There is $400 diference between Fortress Maximus and this. I do not get it. Maybe for $350.

One way to pay for it  try to grab extra MP from Amazon JP while they\'re low, roughly 6 to 8, and then sell\'em at normal or extra if folks choose to bid.  Gotta flip some damn bots for this one.  I saw Cheetor as low as $50.00 around Feb for example.  Those are going for 90.00 or better most sites.  Either that or change jar it again.  Gaaaahd DAMN!!!

I never imagined this could really happen in my time as TF collector. ! I may be in for this but I would like to see first on the last days if it will really able to reach 8000! That is too small time to get backing unless they will aggressively promote this on comic/TF cons!

Lets hope more people will be supporting this project!!!

 

One thing I will mention for everyone saying it's too small... it's not about the height. The figure is 19 lbs. That's more than twice as big as Fort Max with WAY more articulation and a much higher parts count, and I'm assuming, loads more paint. That's what you're paying for.

 

I feel like there's a difference between "buying toys is fine" and "spend at least a paycheck on this single toy"
