I know, right? I barely tolerate it on Moonracer, who constantly falls over unless I have her posed just right, because she's so damn back-heavy.

I think the fandom's at a point where if Hasbro were to announce a Beast Wars character in the Generations line, it wouldn't exactly be unreasonable to expect it to resemble that character.

If they did it in Cyberverse or whatever, sure. Use the legacy name and make them wildly different. But if you're trying to sell toys to people on the selling point that these are the characters they grew up with, "and look! They look like they did on the cartoon! Wow!", then drastically changing their design is a pretty lousy and underhanded thing to do.

May I ask What you mean by "could be considered commander"?

In terms of class, it is or isn't, a CW style combiner is 4 deluxe and 1 Voyager, that's its class so far as we've been shown etc, 19.99 × 4 + 29.99, that's more than a Commander Price point of $79.99 and since King Poseidon etc will be some kind of EX, expect a mark up.

Each individual figure combined would likely have a higher parts count, paint etc however WFC-S Jetfire actually weighs MORE than a CW style combiner.

Ah, okay that makes sense. That's a surprisingly good fit.

I wish I had room in my sig to quote this :lol
It's one of the absolutely truest things ever said on this website and reaches into the very heart of this franchise.
This should be framed in silver and quoted on top of every Transformers related website.
Totally agree. I don't know what's up with people suddenly doggedly maintaining Hasbro should release BW characters in WFC with vehicle modes because of some imagined narrative that's supposed to control what the toyline should be like or in the other case plain because they're geewun and don't care about anything post 86.
Post 86 and BW characters have as much right and reason to get proper updates in WFC as anything else without compromise.

    It's really disheartening, tbh.
Like, they're allowed to have their childhood nostalgia recreated perfectly, but I have to get some crappy Botcon repaint?

If G1 gets cartoon-accurate toys, then Beast Wars should too. Fair's fair.

As someone who watched G1 and Beast Wars as a kid then was largely absent until PotP I can confirm the thought on Sunstreaker. When I got back into Transformers with the IDW comic and Optimus Maximus turned up I was all "Who the heck is Sunstreaker?" I barely remembered Mirage. I was surprised on research to discover he was even one of the original Arkbots in the cartoon. He certainly didn't stick in my memory as well as - setting aside the obvious like Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron - Jazz or Ironhide or the Dinobots or Ratchet or even Prowl.
Honestly if I'd been picking bots for an Optimus Combiner I probably would have had it be Prime, Ironhide, Jazz, Prowl and Ratchet, possibly with Bumblebee as a chest piece or weapon or something. Those are the Arkbots I remember the most from my childhood.

And I now realise that other than Bumblebee all my picks got bots in CW...
Anyway sorry for my little tangent there.

To be fair, it's not recreated perfectly. But it's very close. It's not like Starscream is a sportscar in siege, so I don't see why Cheetor would have to be.

I can't afford the pre-order price to back it but I'll be keeping an eye on this. If it gets fully backed and becomes available, I WILL have it. Even if I have to take out a loan.

I know. Still can't afford it right now. But if it's available to the public in 2021, that gives me more than enough time to save.

Well, with the two planets not being future titans, I guess I'll be done collecting those after Scorpy.

It won't be. Haslab items are scalpers wet dreams. Limited run for backers only. Aftermarket costs for the barge was through the roof.

I think it will only be available to the backers unfortunately. I want this but no way I can put that kind of cash into it. WOW.

Unicron will be later than any Titan and weigh 19 pounds! Its definitely worth it, I have the money but I've never spent that much on a figure before, part of me feels it would be irresponsible however this will only be available to backers and even if it was public, the price would be the same or more, scalpers are 100% going to back this, buy multiple and flip them for 2-3x the price. If we dont secure 1 now, we may never have this figure which is surely the best of all time.

But on to other things....I pray to the spirit of John Warden that a Star Saber is in the works, please let it be a true and authentic rendition, in Hasbro's name I pray, Amen.
