I understand that some people insist on finding these figures in an actual store, but I’m in Ontario and I bought this figure as well as the constructicons and Jetfire on Amazon.ca months ago. In some cases the Amazon price was lower and some cases a tiny bit higher but free shipping and to me much easier than finding them in a store. My two cents. I’ve wasted so much time and gas searching for figures and never finding them so I’ve given up on brick & mortar stores.

Edit: And by the way this figure looks great and has an interesting transformation but some of the parts are extremely floppy and loose. It was annoying enough for me that I almost sold it when I first got it. Yes Future will most likely help but we shouldn’t have to do that. My SS-32 Prime is the same floppy mess. Jetfire and the constructicons are great though.

I can understand that. Truth be told I like online as well. However I like to spend on something I can only get online. That’s what makes mainline figures special to me.

I usually do that but the Amazon.ca price on him has been over $40 every time I look! The last couple of years I've had much better luck scooting under that, but Siege w2 onwards and Studio Series wave whatever-WW2-Bee-is-in, they've been a few bucks up rather than a few bucks down. :(

Found SS38 at Meijer and he was 10% off.

Still haven't seen one anywhere else other than a comic shop that was selling it for $50.

I found my copy at Walmart in Alberta Canada. A month or so back. Haven't seen another one since though.

I wonder if it's more a case of the figure being scooped up as soon as it's on shelves for some people.

For sure, also I've noticed a lot of Walmart here still have both starscreams, and optimus 05 sucking up all the shelf space, so they probably don't put more out or get it in till that stuff moves

I'm going for the G1/MurderPrime two pack. £73 on Kapow which isn't cheap, but I'll regret it if I don't and a year later it's at stupid prices.

Ugh same. I just couldn’t resist the awesome retro packaging. If I’m not feeling it by the time it comes out I’ll just sell it or cancel (BBTS makes it easy to cancel preorders).

I bought mine a week ago - it's still unopened though. Guys, call me crazy, but I think I figured out my biggest problem with the figure - that kibble on the sides of his stomach. I found it extremely unflattering to look at and it was the one distraction - one major distraction - to me. It was a major blemish on an otherwise perfect looking toy.

But for some odd reason, I found Emgo's and Wotafa's to be fine - the side kibble, to me, was unnoticeable (or at least less egregious). I actually really liked the kibble on Wotafa's - the kibble looked slanted, making it look like the molded "pipes" were delivering Energon from the turbine on his back to the rest of his body. I thought it was because of lighting or the camera angle that made the figure's lower torso look so clean and great.

But I figured out it out just now. Turns out that the majority of people are not transforming the backpack correctly. There is a little notch on each of those pieces in the right bottom corner.

You actually need to get them directly behind the backpack/bumper flap. Here it is on Wotafa's and Emgo's -

To contrast, here it is on Prime vs Prime's and Kevin Liu's.

Yeah everything plugs in back there. It's easy to forget though since it all looks fine without plugging in perfectly and some of the other pieces still fit together.

I'm not sure this is correct. It rubs silver paint off of the nose piece (cab mode) and the holes in the bumper don't peg into the red pieces sticking out. It's also much more secure that way instead of your way, on mine at least.

I know it was very discouraging at first, seeing multiple Rampages on the shelf all the time but eventually I did start to see the odd Optimus still hanging around...he is obviously going to sell better than Rampage, so I'm surprised a case didn't skew towards more Optimii

Probably cause Hasbro want people to have a fair chance to build Devastator.

I could see that, but they aren't even advertising the build-a-Devastator on the package
