Yea. Hopefully he'll survive. Although not a major character, I liked him. I also found Izel's comment about "Skin" to Sarge pretty interesting. There seemed to be a bit of emphasis on it.
Spoiler I'm not sure if Davis is Izel now or if he's just got a Shrike in him that's playing a spy game.
One of the show's best episodes, and my favourite so far this season. Spoiler Daisy stopping the bomb was clever and her disintegrating the Shrike was awesome. This was a big showing for her. Earlier, I loved the little detail of her and May holding hands when they thought they were finished. Izel was portrayed much more interestingly here than previously. She did well to give off a more regal air. I loved the call between her and Sarge and the intense reveals and clues they gave. Their history is very intriguing and I love each extra detail we get. Sarge was ruthless in this and Clark acted superbly in this ep. I loved the fight between him and Mack. It was well choreographed yes, but it felt like a fight too - sloppy, sluggish and physical without much flash but lots of hard punches and grappling. The Mack/Fitz reunion was so heartwarming. Deke and Fitz's reunion/meeting was so funny then. Again, way too many hilarious moments to count in this one. I liked the development for Snowflake. Jaco has been the best developed and indeed the most likeable of Sarge's crew. I really liked him and Yo-Yo talking and him teaming up with SHIELD. Him sacrificing himself to destroy the ship was pretty affecting. The end party was really nice and again had so much great comedy. Deke just gets better and better and is becoming one of my favourite characters. The final scene was really shocking.
One the one hand, I'm sad to see SHIELD go. On the other hand, I'm satisfied with what we got. Its not the best show out there, but I still like it. Maybe Kevin Feige could work SHIELD into some of the Disney+ shows down the road.
I haven't been watching. I saw the first episode and then ignored it for some weeks and now my "dvr" only goes back to episode 4 so I'll have to find ep 2 & 3.
If this footage is any indication, Spoiler Sarge may be a spirit that entered Coulson's body during S5 and just laid dormant until Coulson pasted away. The only proof I have is that at 0:49, where it looks like the monoliths were destroyed.
I did not see that twist. I did somewhat call the other twist because footage seemed to hint at. Nice shout out in the command central Yeah, I'm not really happy with that.
Hrm. Spoiler If Izel could do that, why did she do anything to get the space Vegas guy to let Fitz and Simmons go? Why not just possess him and do it herself? She was pretty interesting until she could start popping around like that. I liked the rest though.
Amazing episode. Still a good share of funny jokes but a much more serious episode with a lot of reveals and an atmosphere of paranoia. Spoiler Izel making Piper shooting herself in the hand was brutal. Davis was a fun minor character so he will be missed. I liked how the team realised through just speaking through things with each other that executing Sarge was unlike May. Mack acted smartly by locking down the base immediately and locking Daisy and Yo-Yo in his office so they couldn't be possessed. The reveal/soft retcon that instead of opening a tear to a Fear Dimension but that the 3rd Monolith was a creation monolith and the energies of the 3 combined was pretty interesting and it explained things (without undermining Coulson's death by actually bringing him back). Sarge's memories of his family actually being echoes of Coulson's memories of May and Daisy & him being Izel's partner was a major swerve. Izel's plan to colonise the universe with Shrike so as to have a range of hosts for her kind was a different motive than we could have predicted. I'm looking forward to Sarge activating his powers in the next ep.
