There definitely had to be a clear lack of communication on the producer’s or her agent’s part. It is a bit weird she just left like that though. She already flew out there, and I assume she still would have been paid. This production continues to sound like a disaster though. Director switch ups, Daniel Craig seemingly not wanting to do it or just being ashamed of Bond being Bond, injuries in the first week of filming, and now this.

She's always been kind of a whackadoo anyway. Eccentric, temperamental. But that's always been her charm. I have a hard time believing she agreed to anything without having read the script. Nobody does that. Unless they cut her part down at some point after she read it and agreed to do it.

I'd guess it was this. Remember that they've been writing and rewriting the script constantly.

Yeah, okay. Already done, no need to go back to it, but that describes the entire movie, so whatever. SPECTRE should have been the end of Craig's Bond story. But now it won't be, so the only question is how bad they'll undermine that ending.

I thought he already was going to be in the movie?

Well whatever, hopefully they can fix the issues from Spectre.

Frankly, Skyfall should have been the end as it could tie right into Dr No.

I thought Idris was a bad idea, not because I dislike Idris, but the reality that the world's top spy would have a hard time being James Bond in 3/4 of the world, this is like hold my beer type stuff.

I’m just going to guess that Grace Jones quit because she didn’t want to play new 007’s mom.

This movie just sounds like a bigger disaster the more that comes out about it. Rami Malek is the only thing I’m actually looking forward to in this movie.

This current trend in Hollywood is hurting a lot of franchises. I find myself not caring about more and more characters I used to love. It's fine if they try to create their own characters, but the current trend is to deconstruct or make classic characters that have been around for decades look bad to promote their political message, which seems to be pushing away long term viewers. I read an article saying so and so character is outdated or will be replaced with something more progressive and I groan and get less interested in the property.
It seems many of our favorite properties keeps getting into the hands of people who don't understand the property or why the characters have been popular for years and then try to force the viewer to see their message and why this character no longer works in a progressive society and since that message has nothing to do with how good the story is and is forced above all else, the movie or show becomes dull or unwatchable. Even if it did okay, you read online how most people found it lacking and they won't be back for the sequel. So Hollywood ignores the critics and pushes on and the sequels have to bomb before they try to make changes. By then though it may be too late and a lot of the audience won't be back.

I think it's more about the attention "controversy" brings at this point. It's like free publicity, of course when it fails and you've effectively killed a franchise you move on to another. It's been said before Hollywood has ran out of new ideas or even finding a reasonable way of repackaging the same ones we have had through human history.

I recently read an article about the possibility of Peter Parker being bisexual or gay.

Just wouldn’t work, Hollywood really needs to get smarter and more subtle, not super blunt. And they’re running out of characters.

I agree. This trend is just getting so tired, and it’s really making me feel more apathetic towards franchises I used to love.

The entertainment industry I feel has completely jumped off the deep end and just seems to want to create controversy while also pushing agendas down peoples' throats cause they don't know how to entertain us anymore. There is an occasional movie or show that actually seems to be good once in a while, but then the agenda train rolls in and messes those up as well eventually.

Hey Hollywood, I watch TV shows and go to movies to be ENTERTAINED. If I want to hear or see political crap or agenda pushing, I'll just watch the news.

The more I see these controversy pushes and stuff, it gives me pause for probably why I hardly watch TV or movies outside of occasional older ones anymore.

I wouldn’t say cursed. I don’t want to make it sound like a conspiracy or something, but I do think there are people working on this that want this movie to fail. Daniel Craig has been extremely candid about how he hates playing James Bond.

Daniel Craig: I'd rather slash my wrists than play James Bond again

Then there was another interview where Craig called Bond a misogynist with nothing to teach people. If the reports are to be believed, he’s one of the top reasons Danny Boyle left the movie. If I had to guess something happened with Spectre that really pissed Daniel Craig off, and now the studio is giving him an unprecedented amount of creative control to lure him back for one more film and to usher in the new era of Bond. I think Daniel Craig intends to kill James Bond as we know it, and he’s brought on a creative team that wants to make the franchise something that it isn’t.
