I'm hoping that's the case for these new fans toys pics and for xtb seaspray as well. Waiting for in-hand pictures and reviews on all of them. I think the day of the long pre-order for 3p figures has passed, as there's very little fear of missing out any more.

I'm in full agreement with you. I think the Takara version may be a slight improvement in terms of being a sleeker, more aesthetically pleasing 'bot. But only very slight.

I think it just looks more cartoony, like the last MPs, and probably better articulation, but I think Willis matches the old carbots better.
If the alt mode is smaller I'll be jealous, but still won't buy it and will keep Willis.

FT has so many good looking figures on the way: Hunk, Sheridan, Dunerider, Berserk, Acoustic Wave, Spindrift 2.0 etc.

Which figure is being released next? Do they have a release schedule or will I get laughed at for asking such a thing of FT?

Yep! IF those are the final colors (WITH matte/flat paint finish), he's as good as he's gonna get. Should be ready for 2022. Excited!

 

@kaszal Acoustic Wave had a 2019 on the slides for it, so the assumption is that it will come out this year...maybe, which means other projects might have been pushed back...again. will have to wait til the company rep says what's what.

 

I think the 2019 was just to date it as a 2019 reveal as opposed to the original. We already know at least the next 2 releases, so there's no way this comes out this year.

 

Maverick and Quietus re-issue?

 

Well Maverick is now released. Quietus and Breakdown are the next two, which at least takes us to the late fall. We'll be lucky to have another release after that before the end of the year, and no way it's this figure.

Everything will be pushed back to accomodate Soundwave. Coming 2019 according to FansToys.

This feels like a circular discussion. This started with me saying that it's doubtful that's what they mean by listing 2019. There isn't even a physical prototype, it's not coming out this year.

The 2019 feels more like a 'this is a new product' statement.
