my final thoughts on this prime is yes he is a mini mp. but i feel that isn't needed or a good thing at this scale. he just has way too many moving parts that hinder the bot more that they help it.

a few simpler joints and he would be amazing. that and he doesn't look good with the baby hands.

 

Was watching Attack of the Autobots today and saw these scenes and it reminded me of your discussion here

 

god bless the soul of those animators, and key art illustrators. look at how inconsistent the sizing is.

 

Naaaah, that's called "show accurate", not animation errors hahaha.

 

Actually, it is both XD But some people will claim it is just show accurate  

 

Maybe it's just me but I do think the symbols set this off nicely, especially the small 3d style ones on the trailer.  

 

I've also managed to sort out the loose elbows thanks to one of my neighbours.

Popped the pins out and put a little bit of gorilla glue in the hole, slide the pin back in to put the arm back together and it's spot on. Nice and tight and he can now hold his gun without the arm flopping about.

Well pleased with it!

 

Don't juse glue!! just paint the inner holes with black paint (or red), it will thighten everything without residual or solvents.

Remove the rivets / pins or pop-out the joints, then paint the hole. I'm doing this for decades and it's the best option. Look at this DF04 on the gtoin joints. Super tight!.

 

Robot mode still needs some touch ups, but yeah, liking him so much more now -^.^-

I like to scale shift so I will check these out.

These will be cool to reanact certain wacky scenes next to the FT combiners etc.

Also I love that Bumble Bee and the car bots aren't too much smaller than Prime (I wish TT would of gotten that part right).

Thankies, got him yesterday, was going to wait til weekend, but then I was bored XD
But in the end most of the work is withy gundam markers or posca markers, the only thing I made with acrylics was the windows/windshield, that took longer and was kinda hard to pull.

 

Has TFSource not gotten their shipment for MST Prime yet or what?
Could have already gotten him from TCP by now.

 

It is weird; expected TFSource to have received it two weeks ago.
