I never posted that I didn't like CW Sky Lynx. The exact thing you quoted is in no way mutually exclusive to my actual preference towards CW Sky Lynx. Let me re-summarize for you:

I love Combiner Wars Sky Lynx. I love his bot mode, his alt mode, and his combined mode is my favorite of any of the dozen+ Combiners I have from the line. However, I do not think he is the perfect Sky Lynx, as you claimed. I in fact think he is far from perfect, and doesn't have a place on my shelves. I think that anything less than a Titan or similarly-sized Sky Lynx would not be my ideal Sky Lynx, period.

And you're again ignoring his bot mode - an extra feature. The exact same thing I'm trying to point out that HasTak could do with Sky Lynx. It's like my point is completely going over your head or something. Please tell me it isn't.

I'm not speaking to "people" right now, I'm speaking to one person right now: You.

A base mode is just one example. HasTak could just give a Titan Sky Lynx a functional interior and call it there. As long as it fulfills the play pattern to an extent and is fun enough to justify its size, there shouldn't be a problem.

What is your argument then? You say he doesn't do enough, but you don't want him to do any more. That's definitively unreasonable.

The fact is, if you accept a robot mode'd Brunt as a faithful adaption, you should be able to accept an equally gimmicked-out Sky Lynx as faithful adaption as well.

The point would be him being the size that he supposed to be in canon. If he even is that big in canon. Apparently the scale chart that I posted wasn't genuine. =/

And here I am, happy with TR Blaster and Soundwave, because the original toys towered over the others to begin with .

its of your opinion that he doesnt do enough, i think he does about as much as most titans do especially if they add little spaces to store smaller figures, which is about as much as other titans have going for them, the only thing is he turn into a spaceship and launchpad and not a building/base mode.. i dont see how he doesnt do enough? i dont get that argument its a big interactive play set that transforms

if skylynx was to be just as interactive as what weve seen from omega id argue the difference of omega's base mode and what the lynx in sky lynx turns into is pretty negligible, big folded up robots with compartments for smaller figures to interct with and they both have space ships too, but aesthetically speaking there is a huge difference between the too characters.
also id argue what point does titan class serve but being big.. and interactive with the smaller figures in the line as a hypothetical titan skylinx would most certainly be?

You're trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
"Canon sizes" simply don't exist, and as this thread has proved over and over again, it's an exercise in futility to nail them down.
Sky Lynx is sometimes as big as a combiner (who, regardless of size class, are all the same size "in canon"). Sometimes Sky Lynx is as big as a Dinobot, sometimes the Dinobots can fit inside him.

The most we can say for sure, is that Sky Lynx is as big as a space shuttle. But so is Blast Off, and he's as big as a jeep.
But how big is a space shuttle? Is it the same size as a city? Is it the same size as six construction vehicles stacked on top of each other?

At the end of the day, let's just say "mass displacement" and be done with it. Because otherwise we're heading down a dark road, and that way lies madness.

I'm actually not trying to argue what size he actually is now, I'm just trying to defend my preferences now from @Verno as actually legitimate. As far as I know, his canon size could be Voyager-ish. But I'd just personally prefer him to be Titan is all. =/

I didn't say he was perfect. I said almost perfect. Read the post.

Giving Sky Lynx a robot-mode would make him not-G1 Sky Lynx.

    Hi.

Wow. Doors on his back that open. Couldn't do that with a Voyager, Leader or Commander.

I want him to be a great and updated representation of his G1 design. Making him a base or giving him a robot-mode doesn't do that.

    I'm not calling for a Titan-class Brunt.

When one says "functional interior" in a toy, it usually includes interactivity with smaller figures. A Titan Sky Lynx could do that with Basic/Scout figures or even Deluxes. And not just opening doors.

I agree! They don't do that. But neither does making him too small to be in Predaking's weight class. ;D

    I didn't say you were.

What point did Devy or Predaking serve other than being big combiners?

Commander Jetfire had functionality that let Deluxes use him like a drop ship. A Titan Sky Lynx being able to have multiple Battle and Micromasters riding in him would be awesome.

If we get a Titan Sky Lynx, micromaster transport compatibility and excellent articulation in space gentleman griffon flying lion monkey bird velociraptor winged pterodactyl archaeopteryx mode would win me over. Like a tail whip tail with individually jointed segments. Rocker paws. Emotive face with articulated eyelids. You hate now. You'll love it later. A grin only a mother could love.

Well, if it's not Zombie Impactor, I wonder if it's a misdirection and he's being retooled into Bludgeon...

'Leader Class Armored Car,' Rodimus is a fast assumption, unfortunatly it's not the Leader Class Springer we deserve but, maybe a Nova Prime from Galaxy Op?

I saw something on Facebook saying the next Commander Class figure will be Deathsaurus and the next Titan will be Scorponok.

    Please let it be so...

I hope that three pack gets announced soon, because it sure would be nice to not have to hunt down three copies of refraktor. Also, what if Titan Sky Garry or Titan Grandus? Titan Dug Base? (Personally i want Scorponok, but i could dig something weird inbetween more Traditional Titans)

Well, I might not mind a Nightbird from Chromia when I think about it. If the Chromia combiner kit is still compatible with Nightbird, she'd make an ideal arm for Starscream's POTP KingScream mode effectively meaning I wouldn't have to keep having 2 Starscreams (also currently using Golden Lagoon Starscream) in the same combiner just so it's completed.

Would it be too much to hope for a new Leader Class Rodimus Prime, even though he was just done, and doesn't fit at all into the story timeline? Lol! :D

Kidding (not really)...Just give me Jazz, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, or Blaster and Perceptor, all in forms that strike that perfect aesthetic balance like Siege Sideswipe and I'm in heaven. I'd be plenty happy to see Scorponok too!

Maybe someone else has said this but i am almost positive that the leader class armored car is going to be cybertron Megatron/galvatron to go with the leader optimus we just got. I have been wrong before though.
