Agree. This feels like something straight out of the Funpub/Hasbro playbook.

TFWiki has stuff from the Complete Allspark Almanac. There is also some stuff on the Wikipedia page for it that TFWiki doesn't mention.

And honestly, the amount of stuff I have seen that they had planned for S4 could also make for an extra season.
Hasbro might be able to bring it back if they where to do an Animated line like with the Studio Series.

There's also that TF Nation comic from a couple years back that I think adapted the same story as this.

That was a fancomic made using the synopsis of this story that was given in the Allspark Almanac (or maybe it was a collectors club magazine) alongside brief descriptions of what other episodes were also planned at the time for a fourth season, the script they're reading in this event is the original ten year old script from an official writer who wrote it presumably before they knew the show was cancelled.

If this panel gets secretly recorded or someone makes a transcript, I can't wait to see the differences between the fan comic and the real deal. The comic was awesome, don't get me wrong - but it'll be nice to see the official take on it too :p

If the panel gets secretly recorded and released, forget about ever getting Hasbro to agree to something like this again for anyone. So you might get to listen to it, but you will NEVER see it or something similar at your convention. So for very specifically your own sake you better hope there aren’t any leaks. Not to mention TFnation security is tight on Saturdays anyway so good luck trying.

And the middle finger thing is ridiculous. Convention exclusive events are the norm. Not to even get into how the rest of the world felt over the various Botcons and TFcons. So I won’t say grow up but I will say show some self awareness about both your own situation and the situation of others

No one is owed this. If this matters this much to you, buy a ticket. There’s plenty of international attendance. If not read the wiki when it’s dond. Don’t hope someone actively sabotages the thing.

Bro, we've been waiting ten years for anything remotely official to Animated's fourth season. Animated regularly gets sidelined, if not outright forgotten about, by Hasbro and third party alike, despite the demand for Animated content still being high. So yeah, this is a giant middle finger, because of all the secrecy and exclusivity. For everyone that can travel internationally to see this, there are at least ten that can't. At least the script readings from BotCon and TFCon were allowed to be recorded and released online; nothing of the sort is allowed for this TFNation script reading, and that isn't exactly the norm.

The script readings for Botcon and Tfcon were made for event scripts. This is fully licensed, fully copyrighted material that likely because of the way things work at both Hasbro and Cartoon Network was NEVER going to see the light of day. What we NEVER saw at reasonable prices or accessibility were the Botcon toys or media, the Hall of Fame events, the prescreenings, the toy reveals, the very experience of a direct event linked convention with accessibility to Hasbro staff. One year in 2010 we got some people from Funpub. One year. In the last decade. And it wasn't a panel. It was a shop. Where the toys were being sold at inflated prices.

It's a minor miracle it's happening in the first place. The only middle finger is that when this opportunity to set a new precedence, one which could 100% benefit benefit the US and Canada, people want to do the one thing to kill this for everyone. You have...3 tfcons at the outset between the two countries. If TFN can convince someone at Hasbro this is a good idea, surely people with years worth of direct links and contacts could say "You set a standard at TFN, can we arrange something similar for our con". And following a successful TFN it's much harder for them to just say no. What would make it WAY the hell easier to refuse Animated readings or unaired episodes or deeper dives into concepts and such, is the reading being leaked which tells HAsbro this is not worth the risk and you've therefore set a very different precedent. That's a middle finger. To fans everywhere.

I love animated. I'm still annoyed the increased bottlenecking of 3P in the last 4 years has basically killed the potential revival (I loudly go on about that on a podcast with annoying regularity). I'm annoyed CN killed one of their best shows. And I think the lack of love it and Prime are getting in the new G1 heavy era is saddening. And I may not be able to make it to TFN cause I don't live in the UK. But I am not owed or entitled to experience this. It's a privilege. And it's one that everyone will lose if it's screwed up on day one by what is wrong headed thinking. Short term gain for long term loss. That's the risk here.

It’s honestly amazing how little attention Animated gets these days in favor of more Geewun. On top of that, the Fun Pub script readings were also fully licensed and are canon to the events of the cartoon.

If you’re right, I would honestly prefer they actually buck up and give us a proper season 4, instead of more convention exclusive baloney.

It would be nice but considering that Hasbro haven't done anything with Animated in a decade and it doesn't look like they will it's unlikely

Yet they can’t seem to let go of G1 for even a single year. It’s frustrating.

It's because it's the most iconic iteration of the franchise personally I'm fine with that as the G1 continuity is my favourite however I do agree other eras of Transformers media should get a bit more love from Hasbro however I believe Siege Cybertron Optimus Prime may be the beginning of that

No, Transformers deserves better. Things shouldn’t be primarily G1 from now until doomsday. “Most iconic” be darned. Transformers needed to reinvent itself to stay alive after G1 died in the early 90s, and that needs to be remembered.

If it isn't the most iconic then explain why the Generations line is predominantly G1 based and is selling really well

My point is that the reason the Generations line is predominantly G1 is because its the most known part of the franchise and it sells really well

It’s called “Generations” plural for a reason. Think back to T30 when there were RID 2001, Armada, and Beast Wars characters sprinkled in with standard G1 and IDW G1. That’s what the line should be: a celebration of the whole franchise. I hope the next trilogy is nearly all Beast Wars; G1 needs a break.
