Also I will post a proper translation of the last Diaclone designer interview soon thanks to my buddy who runs Soundwave's Oblivion FB page.
Just not feeling that Tri-Jetter, so I think that'll be the first "Mainline" Bot I skip from this line. But I'm getting several Tri-Dashers so it's not like TT are losing out by much.........
I think I love both of these Tri releases. I don't have any, and so I'm not sure all the ways you can stick shit together, but these look fun as hell. The designs are neat and the price point for the pair is quite good. I think they'll be my first foray into this line.
I think the tri-dasher looks great, particularly that head sculpt although I am not sure if I will order it. @motorthing: Not that fussed by tri-jetter either and if I am not sure about ordering the figure I do like then I fear this might mark the end of my interest in the line. I do have a dia-battles v2 t-shirt on the way though from amiami; IMO dbv2 has been the best thing we’ve got in the line - along with BPGV
Man I love the look of tridasher. Can’t wait to get it. Still not into trijetter at all though. Thought it would grow on me, but nope. It has cool ideas, but lacks refinement
I like both of them, but I'm going to hold out for later repaints and possible alternate pieces. A Cosmo Tri-Jetter would rock.
Alright guys, I've spent way more of my day looking at this thread than I care to admit. I think I want to get in on this line before the Tri stuff hits. The stuff I like the most all seems to be tougher to get, but the grey/white repaints are slick as hell. Any recommendations for a really fun piece to kick this off? Big or small, just not Big Powered as I've kind of ruled that one out already.
Doing yourself a disservice by counting out big powered. I’ve got the regular and the destroyer and they’re both the standout pieces as far as I’m concerned. That’s not to discount the others as they’re all great. Diabattles and Battle Buffalo are incredible as well. I just wouldn’t say they have the same sturdiness and presence that BP has, and personally I feel there’s more modular options for creative play with him as well.
I'm mostly ruling him out because he's the most expensive of the bunch while also being the one I like the least looks wise (though I still like him). If I got hooked on this line and wanted a bunch more, he'd definitely be a purchase.
In that case, I would say Cosmo Diabattles is the looker of the bunch. Classic super robot looks with awesome spaceship parts. Buffalo I would say you have to like the retro bubble antenna head bot thing, which is a different direction.
Preorder the Strike Buffalo Moon Version coming out next month. Great entry piece. It looks to be a superb addition already.
We are chatting now. He’s halfway finished. I’ll post here as soon as he’s done One of the main points is how the Diaclone designers are pushing for a new ‘adult toys’ market. Not collectibles. Not boys toys. But actual toys, with play value, for adults. I’m really interested in this because I, like all of you, enjoy playing with my diaclones just as much as displaying them. I don’t ‘pewpew’ with my toys but I certainly set aside an hour to sit down and play with a new figure. I’ll post ASAP
