    despite the price on this being crap, i really like the brighter colors on SS prime and i dont own either of these figures. and probably would never bother with a proper G1 Prime if not for this.

    i might actually bite.

    yup me too. IMHO, this was supposed to be what Takara's own version of SS38 was supposed to look like had they released this separately in their own Studio Series toy line.

    Just preordered mine. I'm mostly just in it for the SS figure with the retro box. I already have a boxed G1 Optimus (with a trailer), but it never hurts to have a spare I guess.

    I have 4 G1 Primes in my collection:
    1. the JAF-2000 Con Black G1 Optimus Prime repaint,
    2. the 2001 G1 Book-style Convoy,
    3. the 2011 Encore version and
    4. the 2002 New Year blue eyes G1 Edition Prime.
    ....but who's counting, eh? :p
