I really don't care what line is next, as long as they continue this upwards trend of fantastic QC, great engineering, cross play-ability and superb articulation.

This Siege line really blew me away on all those aforementioned points.

Brodside? That's the only character around Commander size I can think of from G1 that hasn't been Siege'd yet, aside from maybe Skyquake.

    Roadbuster? Groundshaker? Bulkhead...? Roadblock?!? o__O

If they're canonically Leader-sized, they would necessarily need to be. And that "too obscure" idea is like being in 2007 and saying that Iron Man is too obscure to make a good movie for. =p

It's the War For Cybertron trilogy, not the Siege trilogy.

    Sky Lynx's scale.

I still think Chaos would be a good name for the line. Armageddon is too damn long.

So I know a vocal segment of the board wants a titan Sky Lynx to fit with the size chart (even though I notice most of those same people complaining about the same size chart for everyone else’s characters or in general) just like people want a commander sized literally everything in the Japanese cartoons but... did this really answer the question? I mean, lynx is the only one that big that a comment about complimenting omega supreme would make sense.

It’s not the rocket base to go with countdown because omega is the rocket base homage. It’s not a sentinel because that’s a repaint, not a downsize requiring new molds. The only enemy omega has is devastator and he exists. He’s within the lines that they said they aren’t remaking yet. Sure people would like a commander devy to be roughly combiner wars combiner size bit see the above. If we want to talk obscure, I doubt we’re getting an upsized action master weapon haha! A space shuttle compliments the rocket base mode and rocket ship of omega regardless of some fans desire to see a massive non-robot Sky Lynx. They match. They’re a set. They go together. I mean I’d love to have a lynx that can fight my titan Predaking too. But honestly when I think of sky lynx next to other robots, I always go to return of Optimus prime where he’s hunched over the others in the same room and isn’t that much higher than normal robots/quints. I’m good with an $80 lynx rather than double that. I’d rather have Raiden as a titan than sky lynx.

I'm not going off of opinion here, I'm going on the fact that as of Siege, Hasbro's intention is to painstakingly make every character in adherence to canon scale. Excluding characters that don't have their original bodies yet, of course(like Slamdance)

It's cool that you'd prefer something else. More power to you. But that's not feasible in Generations now. =/

A Commander-size Devastator, however, is feasible. Not because of the combined mode, but because of the scale of the Constructicons themselves. They're slightly shorter than the Seekers in canon, so they'd be Deluxes, and as a result, they'd make a Commander-size Devvy.

Not at all. He's a city/scorpion-shaped spaceship. He's a perfect fit for Titan class.

That’s kind of my point though. Everyone is slightly shorter or taller than everyone at one point or another. If we took certain episodes with Astro train and Skyfire, both of those would demand a minimum of a titan class figure seeing other bots enter (let alone in cargo hold shots holding, say, devastator).

Strictly given the original comment though, lynx makes sense and gets close enough. And his shuttle mode would be close to the length of omegas rocket portion too.

A commander devy fits with the scale of the combiner wars combiners. It in canon might make the individual components fit more with the cons. But it messes up devys scale to the other cons as well as omega so no long “compliments” omega. Right? That’s what we’re looking for here. It’s not what I want, it’s what makes sense given the premise of the original post. I don’t care what size he is as long as he’s not another lame, incomplete voyager.

You only need to look at
to see him the size of sludge or the size of a mountain when Grimlock walks out.

Canon sizes are the sizes in scale charts, as they're the most unlikely to change over time, whereas the sizes in the cartoon itself do change, even from scene-to-scene. It would be more reasonable for HasTak to use scale charts, rather than cartoon screencaps to determine the sizes of figures in their goal of a unified scale. So we shouldn't look at clips or screencaps when determining(or even speculating) the size of figures in unified scale, we should look toward official scale charts.

As you can see in the scale chart attached to this post, Sky Lynx's apparent bulk even surpasses Omega Supreme's apparent bulk.

Not sure I understand your point with the Constructicons though, sorry. =(

The point being to look at your chart. Ok that chart omega is to scale with the current, titan class, devastator. Jetfire is, like everyone moans about, larger than this charts Skyfire. A chart is a guideline. They use that and fit it to the chosen class as best they can.

Besides, Scale charts - Transformers Wiki kind of blows tons of stuff out of the water toy-wise and even these charts don’t match each other. But Wikipedia doesn’t count as a source so *shrug*

I would love a deathsaurus! I’m only just getting into those series now.

I'm looking at the chart. Jetfire is exactly the size of his scale chart appearance. About 2 Ironhides tall for both of them.

The scale charts from Hasbro differ from the scale charts of Takara, I'll give you that. But Siege has been adhering to the Hasbro scale charts very closely so far.

I'd be happy with a new Thunderwing (someone in another thread had suggested a Jetfire repaint), or even a Commander sized Overlord, but Deathsaurus is the one and only thing I REALLY want from the line at this point.
