please forgive my goldfish memory, but has anyone in the team gotten the Galaxy Upgrade Prime yet?

 

I know it's semantics, but Netflix technically isn't free (unless you're just copping off someone else's account).

Wizkids did announce back in February they will be doing tabletop scale miniatures for transformers (Wizkids To Deliver Brand New Transformers Mini Figures - Transformers News - TFW2005) but there still aren't any product photos and there's no system to go with them. Doesnt mean you cant tweak another system or use a more abstracted/RP heavy system, but I'd personally like a crunchier combat system for Transformers, somewhere between 5e and Shadowrun.
It wouldn't entirely suprise me if the miniatures are a prelude to a WotC official ruleset announcement at gencon, but im also not holding my breath for that to be the case.

Ok so this was super weird because I went to Target on the way home to look for Soundwave. Instead I found Brunt and Springer. Then I got home and saw this was posted minutes later. Sup, Aaron.

 

Also, @Aaron , how did the clips for keeping the legs together in "car" mode hold up? One of mine barely survived the first transformation and snapped off shortly before the second. That could partially be on me trying to transform it in poor lighting with the written instructions only...

 

I thought it was just me struggle with those clips. I’m shaving mine now.

 

TJ and crew talking about the new Glyos drops made me dig up my old Glyos stuff from like, 2014-2015. I ended up making some really fun little figures, but it led me down the rabbit hole of spending more money on colorful PVC!

The discussion on tabletop had me thinking back to how rolling and failing was always more fun for me than any epic success.
Our Heavy Gear GM had us doing a door breach and my character had point. As we enter the room I rolled to breach and critically failed so my character trips over the door frame and ends up in a heap on the floor. It took four rounds of combat rolls trying and failing to stand up before one of the other players rolled to just pull me back to my feet and the image of this highly trained mercenary just helplessly flopping around on the floor during a gunfight was amazing.

In hindsight yeah you could assume someone with spec ops training should be able to navigate a doorway without issue but it took an ordinary encounter and made it something special.

 

That main picture is a personal attack upon my sensibilities

 

Mine is really stressed. Kinda scared to transform him again

 

Take this with a whole tablespoon of salt but mine seems to hold together without it because the canopy snaps into place and holds everything together. Of course, this makes me think something else is being stressed by I can't see what it is yet.

 

Is it just me or did I hear a Gaia Memory being inserted about a half hour in?

 

I remember coming across some fan-made Transformer tabletop games before. You can find them on reddit, I believe
