Call me weird but I really have no desire to combine these once I've collected the final member. Just like I wanted all of the Power of the Primes Dinobots and never once combined them, I'll likely do the same with these. To another post person's point... just looks like hot garbage as far as all of the tooty fruity colors in one bot.

 

I\'m not combining these together (if I can get them all, as not all of them have been released yet in Japan).  Just like the Dinobots, I think the gestalt looks like a spindly, ill-proportioned mess, featuring characters that really never combined in the first place.

 

That Elita-1 torso is a disaster.

I’ve been waiting for these characters to come out since 1986, and to think we’re also getting two scene fillers like Greenlight and Lancer is just icing on the cake!
Now give me a real Alpha Trion and not a glorified Beast Wars retool and I’ll be fucking happy!!!

And guys. The combined bot looks fine! Just wait for the 3P slim hands and high heel feet and she’ll be perfect.

There's precedent at least for the technicolor dreamboat Transformer combiners:

 

The design originated as alpha Trion. This is evident in that there are references to both the preybotcon alpha Trion figures (not even counting alpha trizer). The 3h wreckers alpha Trion would have been a bm snarl repaint (who was a lion) and the chest resembles the vector prime chest. Also the guy that drew it said as much

I sooner see them do a heavy mod on the Voy Siege Starscream mold. After all there is room to put a cone in the cavety of it. And the wings could be altered to be on the legs. Though you get more transformation joints there. I am curious how they would look as well. Since they got a different look in robot mode. In particular the intake parts for Thrust. Yet I am confident that with a few folding parts the entire shell that is the wings could be compressed and put on the legs of the starscream mold.

LOL. I didn’t think I would need to explain this joke as much as it appears but based on all the replies I guess I have to, so here we go.
I mean in the sense of not having an over-kibbled mess of a hulkish figure with an unnecessarily tacked on beast form and an even lazier vehicle mode that’s a callback to two different generations that had nothing to do with him and actually get a G1 callback homage like the rest of the fembots so they look like they belong in the same set together.

The retool part was obviously a jab at the inevitable Lio Convoy retool.

 

We already got a Vector Prime retool. And frankly he made a Better Alpha Trion than what we got.

 

Except the beast form wasn’t tacked on, the design was always intended to be that way. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s not what it was supposed to be
