You know, it's not like it needs a total redesign---simply "making the rear-most wheel smaller" fixes everything. (it can be as small as, or just a bit bigger than*, the front-most wheel)

*that's for steam locos in general. I don't know the specs of a JNR D51's pilot and trailing wheel relative diameters. If I had to choose, I'd vote same size, as the smaller locos tended to use the same wheelsizes, only larger stuff (4-6-2 and up I'd say) tended to have a "unique" size-or-two-larger wheelsize for the trailing axle.

Welcome to my endless arguments whenever dinosaur threads come up. Tiny triangles on cars? People will argue for days. Moment you get outside of cars? Who cares about accuracy?

Wait we are complaining that wheels don't match a real train on a legends scale triple changer ?...

The masterpiece detail entitlement has really filtered down to 4 inch figures.

They matched on the G1, which is a pretty small figure. Also, the front wheels on this one, are correct, and as I mentioned before--using them on the back, would be fine. So they already have the parts/molding design prepared. They just need to pick the correct parts, from the ones they already have. That's not asking much.

i think i'm beginning to understand where the train guys are coming from. i'm a car guy, and i nitpicked on that missing spoiler on the Newage Smokescreen, the shape of the headlight cones, and shape of the quarter glass panel on the Iron Trans Prowl. fortunately there is a 2nd option in the form of Magic Square. but for the train guys / Astro Train fans, they only have one choice at a Legends Astro Train.

That's a solid point, but I would counter with the fact that none of those car figs are triple-changers. There's gotta be some give for that. A triple-changing Legend's scale fig is a pretty big ask already.

That this is a triple changer has nothing to do with the identifying train wheel detail being wrong. It's moulded into the underside of the shuttle wing. It's an easy fix.

he is simply perfect in every way for me. his thighs and arms have just the right amount of mass. i think their current releases are lacking in that department.
