Been irritated that POTP Starscream didn't get a full set of limbs of his own, and so after shopping around on shapeways for replacement parts managed to cobble up what I think might be a fairly passable baseline for seeker and conehead limbs made from POTP dreadwind and darkwing. Need to file down the leg tabs on dreadwind because the wings don't like to stay tabbed back there as you can see on the last photo. Need those things to stay back there to complete the conehead jet aesthetic. Also, still trying to figure out how to remove his shoulder pads. Or should I keep them? Darkwing, I think, shows the missed opportunity hasbro had for making seeker limbs. It's baffling really since they're usually quick to make a buck off a quick repaint/remold and they could've churned out a lot of seekers. Very happy with how he's turning out so far. Will probably try to repaint these guys in generic cannon fodder colors. Gives me more leeway to tinker with colors. Please tell me someone else has done this already. Seems like an obvious idea. Could use advise on how to proceed on painting these guys. Or if anybody knows a freelancer that'll paint for me, that'd be great too. I'm entirely new to this painting thing and am terrified at ruining the attempt.
Oooh, that looks good! Can't wait to see them painted! Just curious, would you still happen to have the shapeways links for these add-ons? I ask because I'm currently in the process of making a little custom combiner team of my own, and those parts could help out a bunch.

first figure done. The paint in places is a bit of a mess because I'm still learning about how to use different kinds of paints and made some mistakes regarding oil vs water based along the way. I decided to do an easy color scheme based on this guy Blackout (G2) - Transformers Wiki Now that i've got a better grasp on what to expect of the paints, might take another figure and do it over. As for the conehead, I'm thinking of following this idea. Sandstorm (G2) - Transformers Wiki
None of the pictures of your figures showed up in your recent post, only the reference pictures of the unreleased seekers. Maybe because they're hosted on some google site that requires some permissions to be public instead of just visible to yourself, or maybe just to be logged in which I'm not.
And wrapped up the conehead on the list, who I decided will take on a more realistic grey. I shall dub him "Overcast" I know there was a micromaster with the name, but hey. The wings, in the photo, look a bit rougher than they do to the naked eye. I may have to go back and touch those up. Also not sure if I want to leave those cannons white, go metallic, or black them out.
