I don't mind the British isms or what not. My wish is far more simpler I want Transformers to be successful. The story has no real depth or even uniqueness in this continuity. There were a lot opportunities to expand in the narrative. There was a shot to see pre war relations with aliens and Cybertronians which has not been done. There is no real exploration of the Golden Age of Cybertron. Nor there is a real outlook on society barring Cyclonus.

Or (and I'm legit proposing it as an alternative, not a critique), you say "maybe this hobby or area of the hobby isn't for me anymore, as I don't derive any pleasure from it" and move on to things that do. For me, my time and money are too valuable to me to waste them on things I find would make me frustrated or not enjoying. Admittedly I'm not pursuing a goal of being the Lorekeeper of the franchise (and I don't mean that derisively), bc I have other things going on but maybe that becomes important if you feel the need or desire to be a franchise gatekeeper. Again not for me but if that's for you...

Jumping in here to say that the one thing that's the main interest of this series to me is the worldbuilding and innovation on the worldbuilding. While I feel the political structure needs some to be desired in uniqueness the setting is phenomenal; this Cybertron at least physically feels fresh. The direction they're going with the setting is interesting; it's really just a few characters who I'm not jiving with. Megatron and Optimus stick out as especially dull to me in characterization. (Even when they're young they're old AAA)

I hope for the world building to be more fleshed out. The series has not find it groove just yet. It is in goldilocks right now too much, too little and hit just right. There is no real conflict in this world that is believable.

They have no arc, and you don't see them being friends, but rather are just told it.

Personally, I would mix the various interpretations of the two into a new mixture. Rather than having Autobots being a thing, and 'Totally not Decepticons', have it be a people's movement led by two great friends, Orion and Megatron. Have a third party be the radical militant type, while Megatron and Orion try a more peaceful route. Long story short, the radical group is defeated and Orion is chosen to be Sentinel's successor, but its done in such a way that a large number of the group feel betrayed by 'Optimus' and his crew, that they were victims of a... deception if you will. During a parade or event, an assassination attempt on Sentinel ends with Orion losing part of his face, and the iconic face plate is given to him. Also, don't have Sentinel evil this time, but just a puppet with no power.

I'm not sure I agree with your use of the term gatekeeper, as it implies I am looking to exclude people from the hobby. My only goal is to be a source of information for whoever needs it. That compulsion isn't exclusive to Transformers either. I try to learn as much as I can about anything I'm very interested in. The name Lore Keeper actually originated during my time on the Legacy of Kain forums (RIP).

This. This right here. This is definitely the way I would go too.
Personally though, I still want a return of the Animated despiction of Sentinel. Let him be an arrogant jerk who is shattered when he finds out that he was never a true Prime nor worthy to be one (The impostor lineage of Primes plotpoint is something I would keep).

Anyway, sorry for that I got carried away. I di share the mixed feelings with this reboot. While is interesting to see what leads to the war, is not as satisfying in this case. The "Threefold Spark" could have been a contemporary faction and the "peacefull Cybertron" promise wouldn't have been bait.

Part of me wants to take the thirteen and make them all alive and a very dysfunctional family full of power struggles and Orion being the youngest one or smth along those lines...

This is a perfect idea. And given their history the Thirteen might as well be the universe first dysfunctional family.
However personally I disagree heavily with Optimus/Orion being the thirteen. It should have been an original character. It actually diminished Optimus status as a Prime.

Unless we went with Prime being more a military rank a la Animated or something along those lines and then add the Matrix in later during the show if we're going origins stuff. Maybe the first bot truly worth the title of Prime even if his family used it quite often and it just became associated with the Matrix carrier because he was the first one to?

I don't know. It doesn't convince me. I was not and I'm not a fan of the Prime military rank.
As I said, being one of the Thirteen actually dismishes Optimus, since he was supposed to be the first ever Transformer in GENERATIONS to be truly worthy of being a Prime, with all the others being merely pretenders. That's why he is special.

You're talking IDW05 yeah? I think the direction they went was that "Prime" was a title of someone worthy of leadership in respect toward the end /post splitting the matrix in two, which I honestly liked about IDW05.

I was just talking about the modern despictions of Optimus. He was the only worthy to bear the Matrix of Leadership and become a true Prime.

I don't think that really shouldn't be the case*, but I was thinking more the title of Prime gets associated with the name Prime because of Optimus rather than it being some prophetical title; which I want because my least favorite incarnation of Optimus had his character hinge on it being a mythical title by nature that severely hurt his character writing to the point where the only thing that Optimus is good for is looking pretty, which sucks.

*Rodimus' ascension is still something I want to see in the future at least once more.
