Looks like ShowZ is taking preorders for the upgrade set, I looked back a few pages here and couldn’t find anyone mentioning it yet.

Does anyone know anywhere I could get the OS Scavenger/Navvy seperately?

I've got the other two sets to represent MP versions of Scrapper, Mixmaster, Long Haul and Hook, but don't want their Bonecrusher as he's far too "off".

Would have been very kind, thank you.

I've asked the seller if he has a supplier contact.

If you shop at Show.z you could also try getting in touch with them to see if they can get you the part.

I haven't yet; being in the UK, but it's good advice.
I'll keep it in mind. Thanks.

Been selling things off over the last few months to change up my collection a bit. Had this dude for a week, but works kept me too busy to combine it.

    Until tonight!

JJ Superion and Weijiang Warbo are great I love them, but this thing is on another level. Dead fucking solid with great articulation(for his size) Jinbao has really impressed me!

You're lucky to get a solid one, alot of people found theirs to be quite loose and floppy. I've been lucky myself he's one of my favourites

I was a bit worried about it, because I've heard a few people mention stability issues. I took the legs on Long Haul apart to make sure all the rachets were lubricated because they didn't want to move forward and back. There is a faux rachet for that movement, it's just 4 large nubs.

I bet if you move them even a few times they wear down rapidly. I lubed them up, but think I will avoid that motion. All the other joints are well designed, so I don't know maybe the original GT is the same and it's just carried over.

The review I watched of the original was very unstable, so I was quite pleased with how well my jinbao stays together

From my understanding, a lot of people have problems with loose knee ratchet. If that is floppy then you basically need to have it propped against a wall or something. Hopefully the new upgrade kit will fix this problem, since it suppose to lock the knee joints somewhat.

The main problem I found with the set is that it is too top heavy and prone to tipping over. Never had the original gravity builder so no idea if it had the same problems as well. If Jinbao made Hook, Scavenger, and Bone-crusher lighter somehow, it would improve posability by a whole lot. While the articulation is great, I find that the combined mode can pretty much can only handle the standard "A" stance.

I wonder if I can combine an OS body with regular limbs.

The connectors are fairly simple, but it would probably be easier to try and downsize the torso connectors rather than fit an upsized one into the limbbots.

I may have to get both upgrade kits.

Is there a special trick to get the knee joints to connect completely? I can't get the cylinder piece to push into the hole on each of the legs, and the legs just fall off....

I believe that's a fairly common issue. On our knee kits, we dimensioned them precisely to the same specs as the knee slot/hole in your picture, but the connection piece on the leg bots still won't fully engage all the way into that hole. Never could figure out what the exact cause is. At the same time, we haven't had problems with the legs falling off or sliding out of the slot on our knee kit, due to them having decently tight tolerances.

Did you check for flash on the connector and in the slot? I had a bit on mine that I filed off. Other than that it's hard to get a great angle on it because of his bulk, but it will go all the way in. If all else fails a little lubricant on the track should do, but make sure the pieces are flash free first. Good luck.

Thanks...I ended up sanding the peg a bit and also filed the the hole a bit as well. I didn't really see any flash to speak of...but the peg did have a "flat extension" part of the plastic, which I assumed was there so that it could snap into the hole and stay. After filing and sanding I finally got it to push in - it doesn't snap in, but it seems to hold enough that it doesn't fall out
