Dang, it's killin me that i haven't had a chance to open mine! I had it shipped to my parents house because i live too close to the street where packages can go "missing" if you catch my drift.
What have aftermarket sales looked like on this guy? Im sure nobody's getting the fambro price!

Looking over the last few pages he really does look stunning. I bet Hotlink will look fantastic with him in time.

I don't know if they are a flat reject for you for any reason, but ToyWorld did do the Coneheads before the standard seekers so that could be an option ahead of waiting for someone else to take a crack if MT doesn't follow through.

Yep. The site is usually pretty good about keeping the stock right and there were only 2 available until it gave the “no stock” warning. And I checked after I bought one and there was only one left. So I’m betting he didn’t have many at all.

Looks like a few folks have gotten theirs already but mine is still saying "dispatched from sorting center" in Hong Kong as of July 2 via Parcel Monitor, and as "pre-shipment" with USPS. Seems like a long time with no status change. Did everyone else have their status update periodically or did it just magically arrive one day with no warning? I've had that happen from time to time. Just wondering when I should start to get antsy.

Through USPS it updated well enough. Mine just got here today, and it looks nice, just as the other MakeToys Seekers, albeit with several blemishes in paint or subtle mold/flashing issues and differences. I ordered at 400, so that may have made a difference, due to it being towards the end of the production line.

Just got mine in today. Not too bad, just some paint rub on the thigh notches from the yellow shin panels and the head is very loose on the peg.

Seems too long already. Mine had regular updates on tracking status. I'm using Hong Kong post tracking. I got my package yesterday.

Hmmm... might have to inspect mine for paint blemishes. I ordered mine a few minutes before the crowdfund closed. Yeah, I'm #562. :D

Yeah, I actually had those on pre-order when they were in development. Would have bought them too, but Maketoys revealed Meteor and I was totally sold on the sculpt. I cancelled the TW pre-orders and decided to go all in on the MT set and wait for their Coneheads.

I do think TW's look better than the MP-11 versions, it's just a question of whether they'll be available down the line if MT vanishes. Also, I know they're pretty tall. I haven't had much luck finding side by side pics of TW's and Maketoys to get a feel for how they look.
I guess, if we don't see the first MT Conehead in the next 6 months, that's a pretty bad sign, given they teased a June/July release for Dirge on their Facebook back in April.

I'm still hopeful, looks like the moulds are done, prototypes and test shots have been finalised, they just need to do the run. Coneheads would have to sell better than Rainmakers, so even if they run into strife and decide to do one or more Coneheads as a Crowdfund instead of a retail release, they'd be mad not to finish the trio. Just hoping that we don't see a repeat of the MAAS style BS where they are constantly chasing new revenu to pay for old projects, That slippery slop is the death of a company.

But this is all far too negative for this thread. Solarflare was a successful effort and, minor QC issues aside, it looks like the general reception has been good. Pyro is now on the cards and hopefully they've learnt enough from this first effort to make that even smoother. Fingers crossed they're able to drop a few outstanding retail releases in the interim.

I got mine today. I opened and transformed him as well and though he isn't super stiff, he's certainly not as loose as TC and SW and thankfully, no where close as bad as the FB video.

If MT is reading. Piece of advice. It maybe better to keep them in robot mode like the regular releases so issues that are being reported, can be caught prior to leaving the manufacturer. I think if that was done, I would think we would see 99% of the figures without issues.

Aside from a floppy right arm, I’d say Solarflare is really amazing!

As of right now the USPS tracker shows it as having hit customs in SF, and is estimating - wrongly, I'd wager - that it will be here on Saturday. Curiously Parcel Monitor and HK Post both have it as being in the dispatch center still. Usually it's USPS tracking that lags. Looks like mine got on the slow boat, but should be here soon, so I can relax.

Quite honestly a smart retailer would have gotten in on the crowd fund and bought 20 of them. Maybe Tony did? Who knows. If anyone is looking for one then this might be the cheapest route.

Smart move if he got a fair few I'd say He's cheaper than the eBay scalpers for sure which is a good thing. The price isn't too bad, so I'd say if anyone missed out they should snap his up before they sell out at that price.
