Pain in the ass. I just want Onslaught. He's the most toon accurate of the set and he comes with the pants and all the combiner parts. He'd be enough to turn a standard Zeta set into a pretty good toon set, and for those who are mixing and matching Zeta and UT, it would allow for the most toon accurate Bruticus on the market.

I guess I'll keep an eye out. Occasionally you get some sellers who break up a box set to cover QC repairs or replacements and want to sell the remaining figures individually. I managed to get a V2 TW Scavenger long after the V1's had sold out from a TaoBao store who'd broken up a V2 set.

 

Looks like there's no last minute chest plate alternative... that's a real missed opportunity in my opinion

The chest plate from UT’s Blastoff works pretty well. (This is the mix and match set with Zeta Torso and UT limbs)

Otherwise there’s a couple of 3D printed options out there.

It's a shame Zeta went half arsed with the cartoon release. A true screen chest plate and they'd clean up.

Indeed. It had potential but seems like neither TW or Zeta are able to do anything without trying to put at least a little “spin” on it. It’s like they have something against going full G1.

Personally I’m happy with my UT/Zeta mixed set and I really like that the UT chest shield has that glossy injection moulded finish and perfectly matches the colours for their Blastoff I’m using as an arm.
Going to have to paint the parts of the 3D kit and will probably paint the pants, feet and hands at the same time, seeing as how Zeta are only doing a boxed set for this.

 

I thought the thigh parts were "nearly" the same color of white plastic of the combiner torso parts? As I previously seen pics here that showed they were. Did they go back an darken the thigh parts? As that box image looks much better than the earlier Bruticon pics.
