Monkey mode is pretty awesome.

The Xerxes is awesome even if his sword is the wrong color, i'd grab a KO Kingbat in red to get the red sword they're like $30 bucks, at least that's what i did

 

Xerxes has loose as hell elbows and chest but damn does he look good. But he doesn't hold a candle to Nemesis Gorira and his mini monkey bots!

@Mr H From what I've seen in reviews, I'm not too crazy about this mould (too fiddly for my taste), but those pics make me want to get him in these colours.

 

This figure is an awesome version of the mold.

It is on the fiddly side, but his shelf and in hand presence are top notch.

 

I personally think he’s a great figure but he does have his drawbacks. The waist clip in beast mode and the shoulder joints in bot mode are too loose and come undone fairly easy. Other than that he’s a keeper

The head on mine is pretty wobbly, kind of a turn off. Still hoping they’ll come out with an alternate head pack that will fix it. Optimal Optimus style head for nemesis, and a Megatron face for Beast Gorira.

 

It didn’t sell as well because it’s not show accurate and it’s not a legacy repaint, simple as that

 

I picked it up. Worth every penny and then some. Picked up the weapon/mini gori upgrade kit for it too; pc-19b.
Wish they would reissue the Red-Blue G1 Prime color scheme.

 

I have two of the originals, two of the red repaints, and only one of this along with the little black "weapon masters" gorillas. This Dark Gorira is my least favorite. He is much too dark and covers all his glorious details. IMHO he only looks good in direct sunlight as it brings out most of his awesome details. I really wish he had more pearly white on him on the upper arms on the sides.
They should have painted with more details but Perfect Effect decided to cut back costs on him. One of the things I noticed was that the other five Goriras (I also bought one as a gift) all had a plastic sheet on their gorilla faces to protect them in robot mode. Dark Gorira, however, did not.
Since this was just a repaint and it did not cost them again in engineering, they should have thrown in extras such as an open mouth plate (original Optimus Primal) and a Beast Machines Megatron head for the original Beast Gorira. They didn't put much effort into this and that is exactly what they got out of it. I still bought it to support the company since they are making Beastwars figures, but I do regret this particular purchase.

 

i show accurate figure is not necessary looks the best. i actually prefer this shade than the orange one. well sine it's only 25cm tall, i will wait till Jiang Xing shows their 30+ cm version of it.
