Sounds like a fair plan. I won't know for sure until basically September with mine, but I'll be keeping an eye out to see how yours goes in the interim.

You can file your refund claim with Paypal anytime. In light of recent developments with mayuancheng26888, I'd file the a claim as soon as possible but it's your call.

Not having had to deal with such in the past, do they have a "I'm not 100% sure if I'll need to do this, but I'm letting you know now that I suspect I will" option? I know AliExpress can take note of such things if you contact them but that's the facilitator, rather than the financier (since that's AliPay).

*ed: looks like PayPal has extended their protection thing, at least in Aus. Up to 180 days to file a dispute, then 20 days from then to turn it into a claim. So even if I wait out until September I should be OK financially, albeit a little put out over the whole ordeal.

I'm really just unsure whether two negative feedbacks qualify for the start of a downturn. All the pieces do fit, but even so...

Thanks, I was not aware of that.

eBay made me wait until after the expected shipping date in prior incidents with other sellers gone bad, I'll know to just reach out to PayPal instead if something goes afoul.

Damn crazy how these people can go from great sellers to scammers in the matter of months

    Ebay:

I too went through paypal. I purchased two fig's totaling maybe $75.00usd. as of last night this guy was still on the good list posted here. I do believe it may be TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. I figured at the very least with all the protection from both paypal and ebay that a dispute wouldn't be too involved. I guess all we can do is wait and see. If I do get my stuff though, id be so sad I didn't put in more orders.

It's best to always file through Paypal with a live agent over the phone and not involve Ebay. Only involve Ebay if you need your discount code value refunded back to you for reuse AFTER Paypal has gotten your money back to you.

Say guys? I bought a Masterpiece Star Saber for about $166 a day or so ago, and I wanted to get some expert info: Is a starting price of $150, plus$16.00 shipping prices too good to be true? I imagine it might be, but there were images of displaying the figure still in the packaging, and explaining it had only been taken out for displaying for the photos, and they seemed legit. The tracker says it should arrive this Wednesday. Here's the seller: Ironman1438.
Do you guys think that I'm being scammed? I don't think I am, but I'm new to the ebay environment.

Check the description. It might be a KO. KO Star Saber has been out for a few years now.

Checked the description. Either they're lying, or its not a KO.

    Take a look.

So it's actually a used copy. I think it's legit. Plus the seller is far less likely to scam you since they are in the USA and have 100% feedback.

Dude actually sent me a message a little while ago saying he just discovered that it was missing the piece that helps prop up the vehicle mode for the shield/flight stand and offered me the figure with a $20 refund just for not having one piece. He also was willing to share that yes, it is an official Masterpiece Star Saber, and where he got it from. He also promised to continue looking for the piece simply because he seems to be that awesome a dude. So I'm completely sold on him. Maybe add him to the good sellers list?

Glad to hear about the positive experience. However the lists are for Chinese sellers, hence the thread title.

Well, I'll be watching this one like a hawk I can assure you. Just received the shipping notice (for them having received the details, not the actual package) and at least it's a new number with the correct source and destination country, though I don't believe I can check the actual addresses involved. It's an ePacket, if anyone knows anything on that which can be checked.

The only thing running through my head is an old saying that gets continually rephrased: once is an accident, twice a coincidence, three times is a declaration of war. Two negative feedbacks for a known (admittedly I'd never heard of it before) scam method could still be nothing more than a fluke, especially without being able to verify the buyers' histories (perhaps they have a history of this themselves?). So for now I'm considering them to be "suspect" rather than "bad"; though I could easily come to regret that.

Well, I sent a message to the seller with this "Will this item (Big Powered) be shipping soon?".

No direct message reply, but two hours later (a few minutes ago) he sent me a tracking number.

LOL, we'll see how this plays out. :p o_O

Will it indeed be Big Powered? Or undeliverable / return to sender?

I got one overnight, without having to nudge him. I also notice the price on Big Powered has gone back up, although to a probably still scammy price.

This morning both of my items went out with tracking numbers. Which may or may not mean much, but I’d hope with tracking it’ll be less shady. I noticed about noon yesterday he turned off all the 75% off and about an hour later a ton of 35% went up on same items.

Yea, Shady is the right word.. I think they did that because of the negative feedback posted about price drops. I asked the seller for an actual in hand pic of the item, instead of the copied and pasted ones, and he replied with "Yes," but never provided a pic...
As far as tracking numbers, I wouldn't rely on them, either. Ive had items stall out in China and never move again. Ive had items delivered to the next town over from me to be sent back because of an illegible address, and have had an item marked as delivered to show up as refused mail the next day in tracking all because the tracking numbers for my items were recycled. The zip code allows the item to get so far, then the post office sorting tries to proceed, then stops. The agent at the post office was able to find my last "undeliverable" and the resident name, street name and number were all fake.

I appreciate your information. I’ll keep everyone posted. No pun intended. Still, I gotta keep my fingers crossed. I have yet to be burned by China. However it looks like this is a great situation to have it start. Thanks again for letting me know about that
