So I purchased Transformers item from a Private seller and it was shipped and in transit. The last item was at my USPS mail office location and the delivery date should be today. Since the USPS mail person came to my place, no delivery and went to my USPS location before end of the day, I asked where my item was and they told me it hasn’t been scanned or arrived at their office whilst the USPS website clearly stated it arrived to that office. I’m concerned now that this is a lost item. What should I do? I would like to add I bought the item using goods and services from private seller.
Wait a few days. It may have arrived but not been sorted. Or it may comically show up at a post office 300 miles away like one of mine did last month. Needless to say, it made it a liiiittle late... One good thing to do is use the option to have text or email alerts sent to you that's offered on the USPS tracking page for your shipment. --Moony
Back during Smash 4, there was a pre order bonus for a CD soundtrack if you ordered both. I did, but something went wrong on their end and I never got it. They couldn't replace it either.. I'm still salty to this day.....
Yes I have they lost a TM2 Scarem figure i ordered from a seller on Amazon, also recently had a deck of MTG card sent back to the seller for no reason i can discover. i was refunded in both cases so I am not out anything.
Good luck. Keep us updated. After 12 years, I'm STILL waiting for my GI Joe 25th anniversary mail away Doc figure. All those flag points left me waiting and waiting to this day!!!
Yes. About 20 years ago, when my nephew was a baby, my sister sent me one of his first baby pictures. I'm still waiting on said picture all these years later. I also had a package stolen recently. I don't know why the hell the post office thought it would be a good idea to leave the package by my apartment door, in an unlocked building, but they did, and it got stolen. I have since talked to them, and all packages are to be picked up at the post office, unless they fit in my locked mail box. I hope the thieves thought my colon cleanse pills were drugs, and took all the pills at once. It would have been quite explosive if so.
Sure did! Eventually found it on the porch of someone a street over. Course, that's after several calls and a trip to the dist. center and a literal threat of Arson had to be made.
Yes i have,.......it was a PS4 controller and it happened around Christmas time a couple of years ago. The postal service (my old postal delivery lady) had the controller in the back of her SUV and couldn't find it. I called Amazon a couple of days after when it was supposed to be delivered and told them what happened. So they replaced my PS4 controller with using UPS as the carrier so i would get it. So i got the package a couple of days later in perfect condition. Then SOMEHOW the day after i got my controller from UPS theres a white grocery bag hanging on my door and my woman gets it and side is a package. I open up the package and its my missing 4 or 5 day old PS4 white controller ordered. So i have triple now on ps4 controller but oh well. I can use that extra controller and i do use it to this day.
There is no consensus. UPS is THE company that constantly delivers for me and my company. Fed-ex is middling, and USPS is staffed by barely sentient sloth-clown hybrids.
Yeah, I have a feeling that it's gotta vary from area to area. Where I'm at, I'll do anything I can to avoid USPS if I can.
Yes to the question...and for giving everybody a laugh...this is in the United States, bing where Carol Stream is...then look at this package in transit, lol: 2019-09-28 19:25 US, WEST FARGO, 58078, In Transit 2019-09-28 01:44 US, SAINT PAUL, 55131, In Transit 2019-09-28 00:29 US, WEST FARGO, 58078, Accepted at USPS Destination Sort Facility 2019-09-27 01:25 US, CAROL STREAM, 60188, Destination DC departure Still a few more cities, roads, and perhaps mail hubs to go...here's hoping this won't get lost, damaged, or becomes undeliverable in some way. In transit is WJ Legendary Warrior btw Also, I have a home and rent an apartment...the people who staff the USPS for my home area seem to have decent genes, the ones staffing the service area at the apartment, not so much. I recently did TEMPORARY forwarding which requires me inputting to and from addresses as well as using my credit card and providing email and phone contact. Needless to say, when forwarding stopped at one location, the more genetically normal humans at one location knew what to do with my mail...meanwhile, the inbreds at another location didn't know what to do with my mail and sent it back to sender overseas. Good job in having my information, addresses, emails and phone. Good job.
I once had a package disappear from the Los Angeles USPS facility that accepts items from the customs side of things.
Once had a USPS Delivery driver sign the signature card as L. Carrier and then stole a Soap Reactor and wiring kit - I had to fill out paperwork and talk to USPS Investigations since it was an International Priority Express package, and also involved EMS Investigations.
Yup, back in college I lost a Japanese textbook I bought from Amazon. It uh was delivered to a P.O box by a military base.......which is weird because I don't live near one. The seller was kind enough to send a replacement but the whole experience just leaves me scratching my head. More recently had a Halo Heroes Series 5 Sgt. Johnson just disappear into the ether. I figure because of the rarity of the figure the driver just snagged it since I waited 2 weeks and there was absolutely no sign of the package despite the USPS site saying it was delivered. I know no package was delivered because I was home all day that day. Amazon seller did give me a refund and Yautja did hook me up with a Sgt Johnson, so no harm done. Oh oh and I bought a Botbots PB Junior off of ebay from a seller I had dealt with and had no issues receiving the package before. THIS time though for whatever reason the driver just refused to deliver. Thought it might have just been because the delivery date landed on a holiday, nope several days went by and still no package. Ended up just having to reschedule the delivery, which ended up going without a hitch. Not a lost package story but still WTF?
Oh yeah, here's some fun ones... At the apartments I used to live four years ago I had both an IDW trade and a POP I bought my daughter disappear. What was funny was that both times it happened the boxes were delivered, but they'd obviously been opened and the item no longer inside. I actually complained both times to the USPS and got refunded my money both times. With the first package their internal investigations team found out that the trade had been opened to insure it was indeed media mail (they reserve the right to randomly search anything sent media mail) and apparently it wasn't reclosed properly. The second item which was a rare POP for my daughter their internal investigations found that it was actually stolen from the box by one of the guys that load the mail onto the truck... had him on camera using a box cutter to make just a big enough incision in the box to pull the POP out of it while leaving the box intact and looking like the tape had only broken a little bit. I was assured that they fired the guy. I haven't had any issues with USPS since I moved to this new apartments, but I did find out the first year I was here that I needed to be home to get any delivery when it was delivered because the Porch Pirates are big in this area. It's a nicer area and we've caught a few ...trailer park trash to put it as nice as possible... stealing from people's porches. Interesting if you can detain them somehow with proof of their theft the cops will try them.
Recently, there's nothing that I can recall having been lost in the mail, but back in the day, before the days of tracking/Delivery Confirmation, I bought a Micro Change Condor (the blue version) from Digital Toys that was sent via USPS. I am still waiting for it to arrive, lol. MIKE engledogg
