I don't see how they'd make the trailer part of the transformation. It's just too big of a piece of the vehicle for that to happen.

 

Should be a voyager sized robot with a trailer/battle station. The Hot Rod/Rodimus combo gimmick requires concessions, and combining with the trailer like POTP Rodimus is too big.

 

TFS has MP-09 up for another preorder, no date yet though, I might be a little pissed if they add the Targetmaster as part of the package. Don't like the coloration on the MP-40 so I don't see getting that just to get the Targetmaster. I've seen the MP-09 Targetmaster on Ebay but I can't justify almost $40 for it.

 

The Targetmaster is rubbish and was a Hot Rod thing, rather than Rodimus anyway.

@ChromeMagnus my biggest issue is not liking the coloration on MP-40 and I really don't like Hoodlum, so I'm a bit limited as to where I want to get the Targetmaster.

 

my understanding is it's an exact reissue of the original MP 09.....meaning exactly what was released before. Takara fixed the problems with the original releases of it. Not sure how the targetmaster gimmick came up in all this...

What touch up kit?

 

BBTS has MP-09 on sale for $180. Just snagged myself one, along with MP-28 Hot Rod. I’ll finally have a Masterpiece Rodimus Prime, and just in time for the movie color FT Sovereign (Galvatron).

Heck, these are the first G1 figures of Hot Rod and Rodimus I’d have since I bought the original G1 toys back in 1986.

 

You can email FT for a touch up kit for FT Hoodlum. Includes rubber pad, brush, red paint.

 

I picked up another one today. I love this reissue so much, I just couldn't help myself. I'll be keeping this one sealed obviously.
when i picked it up, I honestly just looked at the box and thought, this is a masterpiece. Takara outdid themselves with this figure. It's absolutely perfect. I was never a big fan of Rodimus in the g1 animation but, this figure is just a work of art and so perfect. it literally is a masterpiece.

you wont regret it either. i picked up another one today. this figure is a perfect demonstration of masterpiece.

 

I agree. It truly is a Masterpiece....IF you keep it in the box and never discover how disappointing the actual toy is in hand compared to the cool pics on the box.

If you read my post you'd know I am referring to the figure considering I have one out of the box...and I am talking about the reissue, not the original release. The reissue - the one with the fixes.

besides which, judging by your dislike of mp44 and other MPs, maybe some MPs are just not for you.

 

Yes, I'm the only person on the planet that has had trouble with MP 9.

It will take more than a simple reissue to fix all the problems with that toy.

 

Planning to get one too. The China release with the Good Long Life Logo is supposedly been "fixed". Anyone here confirm that?
