    Zeta Armageddon is 50cm.
Jinbao's upscale of Warbotron is 45cm.
    original Warbotron is 38cm.

Get the one that you want to fit with the rest of your collection. The benefit of going 50cm is that it seems the premier 3P companies that focus on Masterpiece scale are heading that way (Zeta/Fans Toys etc). It might take forever.

The 45cm range is affordable with Jinbao leading the way, but being KOs they are dependent on others. Hasbro's Titan Class are also 45cm.

There are a wide range of 35+ cm combiners out in the market. Even the Combiner Wars combiners can fit in such a display if you upgrade them and squint your eyes hard enough.

Unfortunately, none of them hit out of the park. Zeta is that nice Constructor height and he talks, but the bot modes are ugly and the alt modes are not what they traditionally turn into. But they are REALLY good renditions of a Hummer, MH-53 and space shuttle. Brawl is mostly fine except for the treads issue. Like its cool they gave him working treads, but in hand its a huge pain, particularly transforming between modes.

Warbotron and OS Warbotron are fine for what they are, a combiner in the vein of Bruticus, plus the design is showing its age.

UT Bruticus is okay, it would prolly seem better if Zeta Bruticus didn't exist. Where the set really shines is the individual modes. Brawl and Swindle are great, very cartoon accurate. Interestingly enough UT Onslaught's design seems to fit better with the Zeta set and vice versa. Zeta Onslaught looks more like the cartoon version. Vortex and Blast-Off... are at least closer to what they looked like in the cartoon vs the other sets.

MMC has some interesting gimmicks, but the combined form might be small for some tastes.

So to answer your question, the best BRUTICUS out of the ONES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, I'd say Zeta. Best individual Combaticons are UT, but maybe switch out UT Onslaught for Zeta.

I have no experience of any of the existing ones so can't comment on them but NO PLEASE DON'T SKIP TO THE NEXT POST

....I'd suggest waiting and seeing what the MMC / Ocular Max one turns out like, or at least the first couple of parts. It's looking really interesting IMO and Ocular Max have been knocking it out of the park recently (basing that on Azalea and Saltus.) Check out LazyAza's tweet here for pics of Vortex and Swindle: LazyAza on Twitter

That depends on a lot of things... I suggest you to watch reviews of all the sets that are currently available and look for potential issues in their respective threads... To me, the best Bruticus is going to be Assaltus, it looks like what Ragnaros should have been.

If you can, pick up Zeta's Swindle, the robot mode is not good at all, but the alt-mode is beautiful! It also has a working suspension and steering capable front wheels!!!

Yeah, it really is a great humvee model, the windshield wipers can move (not on their own) and the snorkle intake thing even goes up and down:
    swindles and brawl.jpg
Pictured with UT Swindle and Wei Jiang OS movie brawl for comparison.

Amusingly enough, in terms of actual scaling UT Swindle is technically the largest scaled of the three and OS Brawl the smallest? Like yes, UT Swindle is the smallest looking of the three, but he should not be that big comparatively. So the other two should be bigger than they currently are to match UT Swindle's scale.

Should I take the Zeta Bruticus for $275? Or wait for the Toon version?

What's the price difference between the upcoming box set vs the $275 offer? Personally for me and my collection I always get what I think looks best for me. Trust me I've passed on so many figs/deals over the years bc of my choices.

As it currently stands... UT Ragnaros gets my vote.

*Patiently waiting to see what MMC Assaultus looks like in combined form when all bots are released.*

    Smartest move ever.

At this moment, all Bruticus suck ass.
I have the UT one and i'm not happy with it.
Swindle is good, Brawl is ok.
The rest of the team are, meh.

In a distant future? most likely, but it will be similar to Zeta's Bruticus, the bot modes will look nice though...
