No, because he was a knight.

What does that mean? Nobody knows!

It honestly meant nothing which is kind of shocking because the name of the movie is The Last Knight and technically he wasn’t even the last Knight or somehow a Knight because the Knights were present in the final battle. Edit: (Also it makes no sense that he’s a cybertronian Knight because he wasn’t created to guard the staff.)

Yeah, the 'Last Knight' was, I believe, Cade Yeager. Because a human being more important in a Transformers film than the Transformers is basically the status quo of the films.

    The cons had character
    The CGI looked good
    The junkyard scenes
Cogman, Nitro Zeus, Mohawk, and Hot Rod
New designs for Megatron and Barricade

That's all I got while these movies aren't the best I feel this is the only one I actually dislike.

Actually, Nitro Zeus is maybe my all time favorite fictional name. Mark that up as another good thing for me.

If you reread any of the negative comments towards the film, you can see they are either complemented with a positive opinion or they are a counterargument to what others believe are the "good" parts of the film. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone's opinion and presenting a counterargument (or even supporting one's opinion). That's the whole point of a discussion board. We've had discussions started in the past where it mostly revolved around the negative aspects of TLK, however, people still commented on the positive aspects of the film and no one cared (like this thread or this thread). Not sure why there has to be a double standard with this thread.

I really liked the secret history storyline, even though I personally disliked the Witwiccan secret society part of it all, the expanded lore with Transformers hiding out on Earth throughout history was really cool. It reminded me of how in RotF we learn that Seekers have been hiding out on Earth monitoring it throughout points in history as well. I especially enjoyed the concepts of the Guardian Knights being protectors of an ancient Cybertronian artifact such as the Staff, and their mission to hide it from Quintessa so she wouldn't destroy Earth even though Earth is the mortal enemy of their kind.

I don't get the concept of willingly coming to a thread intended to talk about the positive aspects of something just to complain about the thing and people trying to talk about the positives when they call the instigator(s) out. Why go somewhere you don't want to go, stay somewhere you don't want to be, and interact with people who don't share your specific views on a matter just to complain about going there, being there, and seeing/hearing different opinions? This example is not specific.

Some people have terrible tolerance for opinions.

I'd rather smile than cry by the way.

I don’t get why this is being blown out of proportion to be brutally honest. Everything you said was true. Some people either never took the time to actually read the thread or they either just had a meltdown and said “you are missing the point of the thread!” because someone has a different opinion than them.

I thought the around last 30 minutes were really epic. Unfortunately along the way Bay had me doing the palm to the head slap/WTF?/cringie crap he is all to well known for. I just couldn't get invested in it. It's one thing when continuity is abandoned movie to movie. But it seemed continuity within TLK itself was thrown out the window. Like in music the spaces between the notes are as important as the notes. TLK was just noise. There was no real focus. I personally think Bay is better in the producers seat.

I like this, this is a good idea for a thread. A few things I thought TLK did well were some of the designs, more specifically Megatron. The designs overall had deviated pretty far from the originals from the first three movies, so in a way I'm glad they pulled out the last stop so to speak and just gave Megatron his own knight-like makeover. It made for a really good voyager figure. I also liked Dragonstorm's design and objectively speaking, giant robot dragons made of different dudes is badass. I also love the Dark Souls-ish designs of his toys. Finally the other good thing that comes to mind is Onslaught. I don't care that he died easily and quickly with basically one line and that he didn't look anything like his G1 incarnation, I'm just glad Onslaught was part of something :lol

I liked how the Transformers had more screentime. Hot Rod was probably the most memorable Autobot.

My personal favorite thing about this movie was the return of many of the characters from the first three. Many people seem to hate the human characters in these movies, but I find them to be something that actually works with these movies (at least compared to the anime characters that preceded these movies lol).

It was great seeing Lennox, Morshower, and Simmons again. And Wheelie was back too!

This is definitely an.. odd movie. Because, as this thread points out, there is a lot of good going for it. My own personal issues boil down to two main things: them not explaining (at all) how Megatron became Megatron again and all the different sets of Knights.

Other than that, I still find it to be a perfectly watchable movie.

To me it felt like AoE had more TF screen time. I'd like to see a breakdown of the following from all six movies:
    1. TF screen time
    2. Transformation screen time
    3. Transformer speaking time
    4. Transformer battle screen time
Good points about the old characters, I liked that connection back to the originals.
I don't understand why people want an explanation about how Megatron became Megatron again. The Cybertronians constantly change their bodies, even within films. It's just that and a name change.

Except Megatron also doesn't break apart into a billion pieces like a shitty T-1000, despite that being literally how he war rebuilt - into Galvatron, who 'transformed' by breaking apart into a billion pieces like a shitty T-1000.
