Nah you need to watch season 2, that's the season where Steve redeems him self from being a jerk season 1
I liked Season 2. Not as much as season 1 but it was still very enjoyable. It is a slow burn but I think it all pays off by the end. Plus Steve ends up being one of my favorites by the end.
No ROTJ has that scene where “the gangs all back together” in Jabba’s palace and it’s all very contrived and almost breaking the fourth wall, like the characters are aware it’s a movie. I’d almost says it’s intentional by the Duffer brothers.
I finished season 3 today. I liked it. It was different enough to not feel like a rehash of the previous seasons...yet still retains much of the same charm.
It’s starts slow but I really enjoyed this season. I don’t hate season 2, but I’d still rank this higher.
What was it with Season 2 that was...well...like that. xD So far I think most of us agree that is the least favourite. ^^' Just finished this new season and I still love Steve, he is so damn adorable! And Robin is great as well! Glad we have her on board. Nice passing on the torch with Erica, I liked that bit. Ending was...unexpected Spoiler I know the soviets said that there were other portals but..does that mean they actually manage to open another one? Damn..and its in the other half of thr world. No clue how the kids are going to stop that now. xD Also, HOPPER IS ALIVE?!?!? Dude, they mention an american prisoner! I know Hopper should've died with the explosion but...maybe ...something? I dont know. Theorize guys! xD The Mind Flayer creature was cool. I was hoping for a little more gory and scary. And coming from me, that's saying a lot, I scared easily. xD Overall, was a fun season. Dustin was great as always. Oh, I almost forgot! Spoiler El really lost her powers or its just an X3 Magneto thing? Dormant til something triggers them back? [/spoiier] Again, that would be fun to watch and find out. PS: I think I am starting to like Winona Ryder. I dont know, she just had...something this time. Dont know what. xD
We just watched the first two episodes to the new season. They were good, though the first episode suffers from a lot of pacing issues. It really dragged on in places, but I get why, it has to set up everything. Too bad they Spoiler didn't kill off Not-Jason because he is the most worthless character in the show. It's not bad enough he abuses his sister, but now he goes and hits on mothers? What a friggin scumbag! Loved the stuff with Nancy and Jonathan. Hopper's reactions to Ele and Mike are hilarious, and yet, he's such an asshole. I don't feel sorry for him getting blown off by the mother. Highly enjoyed the shopping mall stuff in episode 2. That's all I really have for now, but I noticed this season is only 8 episodes. I'm wondering if that means Netflix has finally decided to just let a story be told with however many of episodes is needed instead of having it mandated that a show must be a certain number of episodes. Hopefully this season will make episode 8 from Season 2 actually have a purpose.
Anyone else catch that they used the same sad remix of "we can be heroes" Spoiler when the Byers family was packing up and leaving Hawkins that was used when they found the "body" of Will Byers in the Quarry back in season 1? Between that and Spoiler the remark the lead Russian made during the epilogue before our Rusky friends fed the political dissident to the new Demogorgon I think someone we've assumed to be dead might not be as deceased as we thought. Either Dr. Brenner (who was last seen being attacked by the first Demogorgon, AND who also purportedly survived the events of the battle of Hawkins Middle School by a purported cohort back in season 2) or Spoiler our favorite Tom Selleck lookalike Chief Jim Hopper I feel like Priah Ferguson (Erica, Lucas's badass little sister) was the breakout star of this season.
Enjoying this season a lot more than the last one. They stepped up their game also really cool special effects.
Just finished S3. Great job making it feel fresh and new again. Can't wait to see what the next season brings.
