The design of everything, really. The Ranger suits are so out of touch. The Megazord was crap. Alpha was odd.

I prefer my toyetic shows and films to be smart and/or cleverly written but since they're meant to sell toys, you first and foremost have to make designs that people actually want to buy as toys. Good designs make the show/film more appealing and memorable as well. These toys shelfwarmed hard...

Hoping Hasbro has a better understanding of what to do while going beyond "spandex" for a potential future movie. The Mighty Morphin' movie suits had a good blend of something familiar while updating the looks to be more armor-y.

It's worthless to make such sequel

 

And yet Hasbro said they were making a sequel.

 

Almost as worthless as bumping a thread that's been active for months with no news, or asking questions on random subjects with no substance and then almost never engaging in the replies that follow.

 

They say that Shit so the brand looks viable and good to investors and shareholders. They're better off doing a live action movie that's connected to the show like they used to do in the past. Get all the fan favorite old talent back and feed off that pure grade nostalgia, not this Michael Bay wannabe alien Zord shit. Grown up 90's kids will flock to theaters with their kids to see their old childhood heroes again on screen alongside their kids favorite new current Rangers. That's how Saban did it, that's how Japan does it, that's how Hasbro should do it.

 

It reminds me of a story I posted a few days ago... something about a squirrel on meth...

Hasbro's absolutely going to make another movie. I expect something significantly more Marvel-esque in execution. The previous movie felt like something from the early 2000s in style. That "gotta be more adult" attitude that still pops up from time to time from studios who want to cash in on comic book movies, but think super heroes are too silly.

 

In my imo, this wasn't a PR movie. The franchise represents teamwork, surpass the problems and solve them, The original team was succesfull not a bunch of troublemakers.

 

And pretty much all the toys are at discounters. Almost the whole line can be found at Ollies, while figures and zords can be found at TJ Maxx/Marshalls, and the red T-Rex zord is a plenty at Ocean State Job Lots.

But any toys related to the TV show aren't. Because those sold and sold well enough to avoid discount stores.

Face it people, fans like the TV Rangers faaaaar more than the Movie ones. Like how it was done in the past, a new movie tied directly to the TV show is the correct path to take.

 

I think this thread could talk about the franchise not only about the movies.

 

ya, but there has been very little talk if the new movie is going to be a reboot or a sequel to the 2017 movie, that's because historically, traditionally, Hollywood never makes announcements on movies that aren't happening.

Sounds a lot like what they did with this film.

 

Mostly of them get involved with trouble.

 

Yes:

Just like the word, Attitude, means.

 

The original team was successful and never get involved with trouble. It's different.

 

This team seemed pretty successful too. And, got into trouble. Meaning, Alpha actually did his job right this time.

 

Jason try put a cow in he's school, Kim getting involved with a incident with their friends and you call that successful ?

 

He said successful as a team. All their troubles happened before they were together.
