I had both versions of gutter and while the chrome is beautiful, ultimately I went metallic. For my tastes it was better. I like how the metallic gutter had 2 tones on his tail. Also I don't like the darker chrome that everyone seemed to settle on. If they'd gone with something closer to g1 toy gold I'd probably have either gone chrome or both. But the metallic is actually closer to that than the chrome they ended up using.
I just ordered Metallic Guttur for the same reason of those 2-tail-tones. I definitely want that big Triceratops shell in chromed gold, and the chromed Swoop, but I'm not sure whether to balance out my dudes with a metallic Superator or leave Guttur/Snarl as the outlier with his fancy tail... I feel like unless you know it in your bones they have to be a way, you can't really lose?
I went metallic because 1) details are not lost in the bling 2) chrome can deteriorate (chipping, stains) over time and you can't touch it up easily like paint, so I try to avoid chrome on large, flat surfaces. At least, this is true for my old toys. Of course I would gladly have both
I've seen very similar listed listings across a few sellers. The throne is still 4xx yuan so at least $80 and then postage. Not sure if it's included i.e. free? That's how I understood your post though, might've gotten it wrong too
I read that as the overarching product description for the three items. Blah blah blah.... 'metallic / chrome / throne', if it was in English. Seeing as there's only the painted (metallic) version for pre order I assume they sold out, or don't have any of the other 2 for pre orders.

Seems odd and it certainly looks to be the chrome version since he uses the "alloy plating" verbiage as you pointed out. Worse case is email him again. This time just say something along the lines of "Hey, sorry to bother you again. Is this listing for the alloy plating Superator with the chrome parts?" Maybe include a pic too? Don't mention the non chrome one at all. It could be a translation issue. I haven't had issues with him when I needed parts but I've seen his listings also be inaccurate too so I don't blame you for asking. Hopefully you get your answer but Show Z has it cheaper by the way. Had I not gotten the ebay 10% discount plus the 7% from Baba, I wouldn't of even bothered buying it from him and went the other route. Plus, you only put a couple of dollars down vs the entire payment, if that matters or not.
I don't know but when he still had Maverick in stock, I emailed to ask him if it would be going back on sale again. He responded saying sorry and that it would not be going back on sale. Approximately 7-8 hours later, he put Maverick on sale again.
I'd assume that it's the chrome version simply because that comes out first. Metallic is always a couple of months later.
Based on the listing title that version of GP Superator that you're inquiring about is the standard metallic version and not the chrome version. The chrome version of GP dinos has "R" at the end of the product number. So the chrome version is HQ-01R. The regular metallic version is HQ-01 (the one you're asking about). So baba's listing is correct. The metallic versions (not the chrome versions) come with the flame sword/breath effects accessories. It took me some time to figure this out. To be honest, GP made things confusing by calling the standard, non-chrome versions "metallic" to begin with. They should have left the word "metallic" out.

That's pretty much what the price is on Taobao before shipping. Taobao is best place to buy GP dinos for the lowest price. Same with larger than carbot sized FT items, including FT dinos.
Where are you trying to go with all of that? The Gigapower Dinobots are huge, so shipping can't be cheap. American retailers are always like shipping costs plus $20-$30 more than Chinese prices. It's the price you pay for not having to wait on long international shipping times and having an easier time dealing with any issues the figure might have. I don't think anyone is taking advantage of anyone here.
