It's not a universal problem. I got the individual release Blindfire when it first came out and my wrist connector is still in perfect shape.

It's a very simple fix: you just have to unscrew the back of the hands then swap the wrist connectors. Takes all of a couple minutes.

 

I'm wondering the same thing about it being a KO or original, though both the link I posted and Show.Z Store show the manufacturer as Warbotron. I don't know how that works, either, seeing as how Warbotron is now Transformission (is that right?)

Thanks   I was following the Quantron thread pretty close for a while after I got the set (I think I remember seeing you post in there after a lot of us were getting the set this past Christmas, IIRC). I was repeating it for the OP more than anything.

 

I certainly have no problems or bias against 3P, but UW Computron is my preferred version... with TDW upgrades of course.



Play compatibility with my other Scramble City combiners was something I didn't want to give up on. Plus, he and Abominus don't come from wildly different toylines, so them fitting together feels right.

 

That's my general plan really, since Superion has PE parts (which I had to cobble together from KOs and the G2 kit) I figured getting TDW parts would help to further differentiate him from Superion. My only experience with TDW however is the Abominus kit, and the new feet from that didn't really hold him up very well. How do Computron's fair?

 

I haven't had any issues with mine. They balance well enough. I was using the red KO PE Computron feet before, but I will eventually end up giving those to PotP Inferno that I want to turn into Guard City 2.0.

 

Yeah those PEKO feet hold up a lot better than the genuine ones. I was gonna get a purple pair for Menasor since his PE ankles have long since given out, but seems those are out of production

 

UW Compurton all the way, here is why
Quantron is for sale now 1/2 off with people posting on facebook for far less with some saying they can not get rid of him while the CW and UW Computron are in high demand.

 

Yeah, I ended up going with that exact setup, UW with TDW parts, very satisfied. Really helps distance himself from Superion with PE parts especially.

 

...i've put together UW computron and PoTP abominous with the TDW kits, CW superion + slingshot and CW menasor + wildrider with the PE kits, CW defensor + groove with the C+C kit, and poor CW bruticus + blast-off with the PE kits until something better comes along (looking at you, TW)...i think that arrangement nicely differentiates each team while maintaining the spirit of scramble-city intercompatibility, but still addresses the major weaknesses of the stock combiner wars assortments...

...since takara appears to be doing him justice, i'll probably keep piranhacon pretty stock to further differentiate each 'generation' of the scramble-city special teams, while devastator and predaking each do their own thing with the perfect effect and DNA kits, respectively...my only third-party combiner is monstructor, which i feel is appropriate since he's neither as iconic as devastator and predaking nor part of the scramble-city system...

 

I really should take some time and take pics of all my combiners for Defensor C+ Customs all the way, it does slightly upscale him but those feet and that chest oh so so so nice.
Ya, it takes time and I will be eventually sticking them and maybe adding some detail up like my Devy. If you do have questions about figure or upgrade please ask I know most of them.
