Congrats dude. No need to panic, I'm sure you'll do fine!

That is truly awful. Totally stealing it ;)

Oh sure, when green light does it she gets magic powers! They last time I set a cat on fire and held it above my head, all I got was a free trip to the cop-shop and a strongly worded letter from the rspca.

    The dynamic duo back together!
    And happy birthday Brendan!

That sucks for her. Hope they see reason, last October I did a search for a Halloween outfit and some of the results that pop up... Fucking hope no kids were checking eBay for Halloween costumes.
EBay actually have their European headquarters in Dublin for tax purposes. Like google, facebook and those guys.

They make a damn fine combo.

Yeah. Absolutely NO possible way anyone could find that kind of pic in any way sexually suggestive. It's clearly a total mystery.

And by the bye, everyone I'm hitting these days could comfortably (and comfort is very important) be discribed as "Grandmotherly" by dint of being at that point in life/chronology, and they absolutely fudging well fudge are erotic to a point far beyond debate. So let's not diss the ladies folks. One day (if you're lucky) you'll all get there too.

Amazon have just cancelled my Thundercracker. They REALLY don't like me.

I used Dark Side Toys once and they were fine. There's a lot of smaller UK shops out there most of us don't know about and have good prices too.
    Comics and Cocktails
    Star Action Figures
    Games and Cards UK
    Gear4Geeks
    Tucks Toys
    blah blah blah

    Happy birthday @bcm77

Nice tight joints, excellent sticker condition, and i know it's not a k0 because those always do longstacks, never the short ones.

Sorry to hear about your troubles @Convoy ebay is a bunch of morons. It's why i never sell, only buy. It's too much hassle otherwise.

Every Hasbro Optimus reissue from 2000 up to the latest trailer one has them for safety reasons (Takara kept them long). And the missiles are super long for the same reason. This trailerless reissue was the first time he's had a long stack reissue since G2 I believe. I've got a junker with long stacks, I'm gonna swap those onto this guy for maximum Optimusage.

Opened Siege Soundwave (+ravage & laserbeak) and Ironhide so far from my aforementioned shopping trip.

    Transformers perfection.

Also nice case fresh delivery of Longhauls.

Looking at potential Arcee toys. Be interested to know the thoughts of anyone who has plumped for one, either on my list or not...

Ocular Max Azalea looks pretty good, if rather tall... but you know what, she is pretty kickass in IDW, maybe she should be a Voyager! That'd put her at Whirl's height and they're a similar danger level :-D ) and it does come up for reasonable amounts second-hand. No swords though?

Thrilling 30 version: "alt modes in backpack" aesthetic, turns into Penelope Pitstop's car, but bot mode looks pretty solid. Also swords.

    Hmmm.

I only have the T30 version. If you can get past the backpack in alt mode, it's a great G1 arcee figure. A bit lithe, feels a little fragile but isn't beyond her thumbs (mine lost a thumb in a house move) and you get two swords and two guns. Kapow have the Takara version for £20 at the moment for that ultra G1 paintjob. She looks good beside the deluxe Kup, Hot Rod and Blurr, though a bit small if you want her beside Springer (being a voyager). Also, her guns won't go all the way down, so she looks a little silly because there's a bit of plastic running along the base of her hands to reinforce them. It's fine as long as you don't push her guns all the way in. If you want an Arcee on a budget, T30 is a good choice, although I imagine the Ocular Max would be an all around superior figure. But is bigger and more expensive. Also, T30 is not good for an IDW Arcee. If you do want one, perhaps the titans return Arcee? It's from the Blurr mould, is a great figure (she's the only version of the mould I don't own) but was an exclusive so is usually around £50, no swords, but does have a die cast ultra magnus head with her. And her head become Daniel in an exosuit. Would probably be able to find some deluxe sized swords for her. I think someone on this thread is selling that Arcee.

... I mean... as team building exercises go, at least it will help improve the environment. But yeah, dead bodies are a hazard. Not to mention wild rat attacks.

I would say T30 Arcee is not the ideal IDW Arcee, but I think she serves well enough. TR might be somewhat more suited, but I think third part is the way to go for that. PE's Arcee is quite IDW-ish I think.

I was actually thinking of off-loading my TR Arcee too if anyone is interested. She unfortunately came out of package with a little scratch to one of her arms - and she has no packaging, so I can offer her and wee Magnus for £36?

So here is a piece of personal history - Fireball here (I know hes known as Sizzle too, but come on, fireball is so much cooler) was the LAST Transformer I bought as a kid. T'was back in the heady days of 1996, I was at the time more into Toy Biz Spider-man stuff than Transformers (BW totally passed me by) and I was wondering through a Toymaster a few towns over, which was a bit of a time-warp itself. It had BW, G2 and some G1 stuff all sitting side-by-side on the shelves. I was having a look out of curiosity and saw Fireball on seriously deep discount. So I thought 'why not'.

What a figure to go out on. I know some of the latter day G2 stuff had great (for the time) articulation, but for me this was revolutionary. It really underlined how brick-ish my aging G1 toys were. And the lazer rod light up sword/ engine gimmick was amazing.

The guy pictured above is not the original Fireball I bought. Like many figures with an elastic band supported waist joint (basically every GI Joe I ever owned) he broke from over-use. But here he is. Sans sword. But still a badass - with a hell of a gut.

Today is a good day. The DWP have paid up after my tribunal win so, with the other half starting a new job at the end of the month, it seems our financial woes are over at last.

I decided to browse eBay for a little celebratory splurge and found the Platinum Autobot Heroes set for £90. I'd been hanging my nose over it for a while. As a new collector who was a late-G1 baby and is a big IDW fan, it's a perfect set, so I'm very happy.
