Hasbro should make this happen, tell stories of bots only (no human characters) in 21min time frame episodes, exploring stories on Cybertron of both Autobots and Decepticons. Hopefully I did or didn’t just give someone at hasbro an idea that gives them a raise and I get zero credit :p

I never understood why this wasn't done in the heyday of the Bay films - or just used those designs/characters cartoonified rather than confuse children.

Yeah, I think Prime is about the closest thing we'll ever see to a TV version of Bayformers, even if it isn't actually part of the same continuity.

Not to mention Roberto and Orci were involved, so it was the same writers as the first film at least.

Oh, yeah, Orci and Kurtzman. Forgot about them (or blocked them out, whichever comes first).

A separate cartoon - set in Bayverse (without contradicting the films that they are set between) would have helped greatly in fleshing out the characters such as Sideswipe, The Twins, etc. would have made us care a lot more about them and the world they live in.
With regards to continuity - as it would have been a kids cartoon they could easily keep the status quo and just have the weekly adventures until the next movie. They could possibly even have introduced the new characters from the upcoming film and showed where they came from (Brains, Igor, Que etc.) depending on how fast the production was and communication from the filmakers.
I think I'd have liked this - and would appreciate the actual movieverse a bit more if they did that (but I bet I'd have liked the actual cartoons over the films).

If they make knightverse cartoon I'd like it to be traditionally animated although somehow that seems unlikely. And make about the war from the beginning

I wish there was a Bayverse tv series. It could explore origins of say JetFire or the Primes. If it was planned, TLK's performance ruined that from becoming reality.

As much as I'd love to see a tv series based off the Byaverse, the cost of animation like the films would be extreme and it'd probably end up looking like the movie games or those cyber-missions they had a while back.

There's also Cyber Missions, which seemed like it was supposed to be somewhere between ROTF and DOTM.

Or, maybe a complete fresh start. . .Personally, I think Paramount and Hasbro may need to chill right now and carefully and skillfully regroup, and intelligently plan their next move, preferably a few years from now, so that the built-up franchise fatigue can subside. . .Bayverse has been dead. . .Let it rest.

Wait, what? That doesn't make sense. How can they be sued if they're the legal owners of the franchise?

You know what they DONT own? The fan ideas. Unless given explicit permission or was a legally binding transaction, Hasbro taking fan ideas wholesale without due recognition is basically plagerism.

Or at least I think that's how it goes.

Maybe a bit too late now for a cartoon to tie into the earlier movies but if they ever did do one id love it to be as dynamic as this promo video for the pachinko machine in japan.

Not so much the bayverse, as I think it's best to just move onto better things. A show set in the new universe could be promising, maybe.
