I think the deluxe CHUG triple changers work quite well for Legends.

If they don't, maybe Iron Factory will (if they have him on their list).

I don't much care for the idea of a $50 plus Legends toy either - when I can get a 1-1 KO MP Prime for not much more.
Heck for the price of two of them I could get several options of fairly substantial combiner.

I'd look at that and think- nah for that money I can find a couple of Takara Legends toys or I could buy a Takara Voyager Blitzwing and have enough change to buy a weapon kit of some sort. They'd be better off recouping costs with remoulds/repaints and try to keep the costs down.

That is the reason why I've not bought any legends, or Legends+/- scale Optimus yet besides the KBB one and a GT clear one as to me I can't help but think.. yeah but I can buy a much bigger toy for the same money.

As for Hot Rodimus... well I guess I can stretch to $35.00 if I have to reluctantly - if he's going to be over $40.00 then he can sit there until EBay sends me a decent voucher. I feel much he same about Magnus version 2 as welll. I already have other versions of those characters at a small size - I'm happy to be patient if the pricing is poor. That said I do like the Targetmaster I'm also wondering what he will look like with Kup too.

It's true, you do have the option of giving money to a company that rips-off the exact design that another company put funds into designing.

Or you can pay for original figures (yes, based off existing characters blah blah blah).

Now MFT exists in a grey area.. I don't appreciate the KOs they do, but I do encourage them to produce new molds like this.

Anyway, don't come in here on your high horse bitching about how expensive things are and brag about how you like to give money to thieves.

    Thanks.

You're not going to make any headway giving crap to people who buy KOs. We know the designs are stolen and we just don't care.

I don't imagine people will stop buying KOs. I'm just saying you can't compare the price of a KO to the price of a non KO. Apples and Oranges.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Trail has gone cold. No updates for quite a few months.

Given there is already a similar toy at this scale perhaps they threw it on the backburner.
Also maybe the sour relationship they had with designer contributed.
But before you know it they will probably be showing off colour prototypes. Stay patient.
Buy the papa toys hot rod if you havent and you cant wait.

While it’s possible it died, it’s also possible we’ll see an update in the near future. If you look in the adjacent pages in the main MFT thread back in Feb when they last showed this there were figures that were further along that are only now near release.

I'm sure it's still in the works since it had a decent following. The Papa toys version is really good, but this version looks more refined. Same designs, better execution.

and that it also transforms to Rodimus is quite interesting. my local drug...errr TF dealer started listing down names for pre-orders, and I placed two - one to display as Hot Rod, one as Rodimus.

The PapaToys though is a Hot Rod. This one you can pass off as either Rodimus Prime or HR. And I much prefer Rodimus over HR if given the choice.

Same. Rodimus is so underserved when it comes to toys. Especially for a leader. He and Galvatron both.
