The funny thing is that Moon Gundam is literally the prototype for the Sazabi, so its body is extremely similar, visually.
Yeah, recent HG releases has been very good despite some stinkers. I don't have the Moon Gundam yet, but I'll say that the build complexity and shelf presence of the new HGCE Destiny is a step up from the Strike Freedom.
Gundam-San Haro!! .. the Jagd is turning out alright, the paleness of the last picture was the lighting in the bathroom. but I'm letting it dry overnight as planned... So, I worked on a Yoshi. A lot of creased fabric folds to sand through, the turban and cape were the easiest to do.. the scuff marks from my dry sanding will disappear under a Flat coat when this is done. The kit has some need for paint but it has decals that wrap around his ankles and tongue for the shouting face. The ankles don't get the same level of multicolored parts like those on his arms so I have to paint them green, red, and pink. Red is obvious, but I got lucky and used the right shade of green with a blend of Yellow I made for the Narrative for the flesh... But .. the pink parts.. the plastic is too bright for me to match with what I have to mix with, so I just came to a compromise. I reject your mold injection color and substitute my own!
Unboxing Previews and Samples of the Alex are out.. 1/100 MG Gundam NT-1 Ver.2.0 Unboxing - HobbyLink.tv Dull Chrome plated parts confirmed, and the same Sleeve material as the Thunderbolt kits for the should joint.
Willing to bet they're 1:144 ish. "Maka.. makasup.. makkupusa.." ... cementing and sanding everything. Need to finish the arms and then paint the finger nails. The ankles are done, but I need to hit the stem above the ball socket joint below the shoe cuff, because it's glaring through the gap.
They're marketed as being 1/144 (whatever that means), so they should size with HGs. However, looking at the promos they look more "toy-ish" and are designed for really easy customization just by pegging. So they're more like less expensive, Bandai quality Frame Arms Architects that would make for fun desk bots or army building. "...Screw it! SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!"
It can only be at this point... and their follow up announcement is the Hathaway's Flash HGUC Penelope is scheduled for OCTOBER! That one!!! Piccolo's done. No shouting face to use with the turban, so no "Yes Yes !! I feel great!!" but... DODGE!!!!!! ... It was a fun one day build, I didn't do any panel lining but I might give it a gray accent wash after I give it a flat coat.. The cape is pretty heavy though.
Much as this makes me wish a Master Grade Cherudim was in the works, I'll settle for Bandai just finishing up the Season 1 Gundam Team(preferably with Virtue/Nedleeh first). Also they really need to round out the team in other grades, like PLEASE Bandai make an RG Dynames so I don't have to get the old high grade!
don't the runners of Dynames say "GN Frame" instead of the suit's name? brightened image: its a 1/100, and re/100s don't have inner frames, do they?
The IBO 1/100 kits did, but this one definitely looks more advanced. For example, the gold circles on the inner frame's hips are separate pieces here, and they were stickers on the old 1/100.
Yeah at this point I doubt S2 will get any love. I think MG Kyrios and Virtue are pretty much a given at this point with Dynames being made. I just dumpstered most of the runners but they say Gundam Dynames on 'em. I feel like this is a MG at this point for Barbatos. Unless they're doing another one-off scale again.
some temptation for myself right now: Bandai/P-Bandai Gundam Gunpla Kits RG MG PG RE/100 kinda want an RG Sinanju, Strike or 00Qan[T], and probably 00Qan[T] Full Saber. Unfortunately Im going out of town for July 4, shame i swear some people had their kits say that. I'll have to check mine after I'm done with GP01Fb's legs.
The two main runners with the frame parts on them say "GN Frame". They look to be modular, with gate connections sectioning off bits that are unique to Dynames' frame: mostly the arms. The GN Drive housing, and the bulk of the legs and pelvis, as well as hands and joint parts seem to be the "universal" parts.
