So, who has, or is going to make, peg-on spiked tires for Sideswipe's shoulders?

('cause Hasbro didn't bother to add their own)

 

I am all about this set. G2 sideswipe is a fantastic color scheme, but to get an updated Slamdance out of Flywheels is just icing on the already wonderful cake. 

 

I kinda already have a Sideswipe in MP-12+.

...But I am REALLY digging the G2 colors on this Sideswipe.

 

G2 sideswipe looks cool.

 

How do they fuck up the white on Sideswipe and Red Alert but get it right on an exclusive? Do they not have have any quality control on matching white plastic color?

 

GAWD that black smudge looks AWFUL! This will be the first time that I'm going to wipe that sh!t off. I was fine with the silver/bronze/mud colored battle damage for all the others, but definitely hating this black sh!t they got going on here.

OK, you sold me on that Slamdance back story, I'll keep him now. As for the Autobot/Decepticon symbols covering too much window(s), the cartoon/comics never showed that any transformer was hindered in any way shape or form because of that. They can "see" just fine in vehicle/alt mode. So it don't bother me personally.

 

So what retailers will have these?  

 

They really cheaped out on G2 sideswipe with no green windshield or G2 tampos. The Botcon 2010 version is way superior. And slamdance is upside down. Ill probably get this set as a completionist but mostly for the targetmaster.

 

Whelp, they're not spiked, but I have a spare set of front tires from a junked Siege Sideswipe that I'll just plug into G2's shoulder ports

What is this? It looks like a kid drew on them with a sharpie. How did this pass QC. I really wanted to buy some of these but that looks horrible.

You're not the only one. I saw that right away and I plan on making the parts swap on the two Sideswipes so there's better colour consistency in alt modes.

 

Swapping the shoulder mounts wouldn't hugely effect the look of the robot and it would help the car mode - I think a lot of pin removal may be involved though. Another alternatve is to do the swap with Red Alert - as adding red pieces to his car mode wouldn't hurt it to much and you'd still get black pieces for the G2 Sideswipe that way.

 

Because amazon is willing to pay more to have exclusive figures so hasbro makes more money?

How exactly did they cheap out? Because they used red paint instead of green inside the car canopy? Because they used one logo instead of the other? Unless green paint is more expensive, they're not saving any money here.

 

G2 Siege Sideswipe's deco is clearly based on the Masterpiece. Which had silver guns and a red windshield.



It was the optional stickers that made added green. I'm betting that's why this one doesn't have any and has a silver weapon and red windows. Since that was from the MP.
